Uncut
An tiptop buy at around $13. Well designed, well constructed. Good size (easily accomodates an AVCHD camcorder, such as a Canon VIXIA M300 and associated side dishes). One minor nuisance: the top zipper is "protected" (ostensibly from perhaps rain?) by having the fabric harshness of the top overlap/cover this zipper. Thus you have to fumble a bit to unzip the top.

"You get what you pay for" does not audition in this case!
Being a cheapskate, I looked for the lowest priced casket with the interior dimensions to fit my SLR-sized camera (Canon SX20IS). Expecting very little, I was extremely surprised how resolute and well made this bag was. There is padding all around and the adjustable padded divider allows you to configure this case in whatever way you need. I was offered $25 for this bag one day after receiving it by a guy who told me to desist from being so cheap when I ordered it. This is an enthusiastic 5-Star review!

Unreservedly Satisfied - Good Product
It is a central camera bag but has sufficient pockets to accommodate accessories like spare batteries, cords, chargers, recollection cards etc. The interior is protective enough for the camera body. Seems rugged on the whole though only time will tell how stable it is. On the other hand, I am not into safaris and jumping out of pickups to snap pictures of butterflies and such. So it should last a while... For the amount, you can't go wrong.

You get what you pay for
VERY Reasonably quality, I've had mine for a few months(dont use it very often) and it allready looks like its been through war.It has rips at the seams in many seating. If you're on a budget and need a bag you can go with this or just wait till you collect enough money for a better bag. Like with everything else, you get what you pay for.

Only Camera I'll ever extremity!!!
I attachment this camera!!!! yes -- it does takes some getting use to concerning hand positioning. After that it is all wonderful. The DSC-F707 is very narcotic addict friendly, to such an extent even when I let ppl borrow my camera they understand how to use its different features. I've had mine ever since they came out with 'em and its only had to be 'repaired' twice (split second wouldn't pop up, and zoom got stuck which we had fixed by a local repair guy (cheap as in 30 dollars for the bolt). I also enjoy the different picture settings, it is wonderful to be able to switch the settings back and forth. I regularly use the main setting for portrait shots, and then the smaller settings for regular pics to add to Facebook or other community networking sites. If you are worried about the memory card only taking 12 pics don't be! Using the various settings increases the number of pics that are able to be taken. Personally, the highest I've bewitched with it was about 94. We went to the zoo. All of those pics I uploaded to my photo album. All were superb quality and looked as if they were professionally picture.

Angelic camera for infrared photography
I bought this camera for infrared photography and am pleased as Punch with it using the night mode and an IR filter. The added bonus is the beautiful color performance for regular photos. Very nice camera.
I'd give it five stars if it had a memory function to save your settings.

Sony DSCF707
I have had three of these cameras since 2001. The first was stolen when I was mugged on the steps of the St. Split Basilica in Paris. I had already fallen in love with the camera by then. When we returned home, I was blown to another place with the clarity of the photographs which I'd uploaded to a laptop, fortunately, before the camera was stolen. I only use the optical zoom on this camera and I was expressly impressed with the focus that allowed me to zoom into and blow up a small portion of photos I'd already infatuated with the zoom lens at its maximum length. I also like the feel of the camera. I know that many residents rave about pocket-size cameras, but I'm used to a larger SLR and like the heft of this camera. This years spring as we set out on a two month vacation in Spain and Ireland, my F707 failed me. The card reader stopped working and I had to slump back on a pocket-size Nikon. While it did a credible job, I could definitely see the difference in focus and clarity of the photos that came from it as compared to my Sony F707. When we returned to the states, I inquired about having the Sony repaired and found that it was less high-priced to purchase a used F707 than to have mine fixed. That's what I did and I'm now a happy camper again. I love this camera and felt corrupt without it. I know there are improvements coming down the line, but I'll wait until I can get the same performance in a new camera that I get from this one. The only features I oversight from this camera are a better low light capability and a larger memory capacity.

Obsoleted by Sony?
The DSCF707 has a tremendous lens and a lot of functionality (including full manual mode, infra-red capabilities, mpeg w/ audio, etc.). The absolute thing for me, though, is how the lens can pivot vertically relative to the body (or the body to the lens?). This means you don't have to embrace it up to your face--you can take shots discreetly from waist-level or around a corner, or you can hold it up over a crowd for a ameliorate angle, and still see the LCD screen. Very handy, and I don't understand why it's not a common feature. It came (from benselectronics) without a lens cap (58mm) or the camera-charging element (Sony AC-L10A) AND a battery (Sony NP-FM50 M) at the very end of it's useful life, but that's all stuff I was able to buy elsewhere. I don't know how the next inception (the 717) compares, but Sony doesn't make anything along these lines anymore, so get one while you still can, and buy a couple accessory batteries in case those become obsoleted too.

Sony F707 Retrospective Re-examine
I'm out shopping for a new camcorder and am sympathy towards a Sony model. This brought to mind my Sony F707.
**ON THE UP SIDE**
I bought it in 2001 and paid a lot. I notion of with all the stuff I got with it, it came to about $1300. Best money I ever spent on an electronic device.
First off - if you have this camera or are picking one up, release $10 on an appropriately sized UV lens attachment. It doesn't really change your pictures, at all (it's a apparent lens). What it does do, however, is protect your precious and expensive Zeiss lens underneath. Over the years, my UV lens - in make a splash ALL THE TIME - has saved me from trashing the *REAL* lens multiple times. I've had to replace the UV lens twice - at a rate of 20 more dollars. That, my friends, is a bargain compared to the alternative. The fact that you can attach any thousand of aftermarket things to the lens (because it is standard sized) is just plain awesome.
I got a 128MB riddle with the camera. Sounds sort of laughable now, but I've operated that camera at the highest resolution for every model from day ONE. No problem. It still fits 60 or so pictures. Have a laptop handy with a USB stick reader and you've got bountifulness of storage.
I've taken this camera everywhere. From the Mayan ruins in Mexico to the top of the CN Tower in Toronto - the pictures I have bewitched as a rank amateur have impressed many people. Most recently, I used it at the Philadelphia Phillies Everybody Series Victory Parade in Philly (DUH!). With the way the camera twists, I was easily skilful to hold it HIGH up over my head and still get exactly the shot I wanted. People see the pictures and improvise I was in the front row when, in fact, I was about 5 rows people deep into the crowd. The sea of red hats/shirts contrasted against the buildings in a muddled light environment (buildings/shadows/bright spots) looks awesome.
There are LOTS of settings to run around with if you want to experiment. Some of my coolest shots where nighttime long-exposure pictures of the illuminated Niagara Falls. And I pulled it off without a tripod on connivingly (hold camera VERY still...LOL).
I take a lot of pictures of my kid's sports activities. While there is a delay on the initial click-to-epitome process, it doesn't take long to get used to. In any event, I find the built-in "Burst-3" approach to be very useful for sports. I've gotten more sweet shots that way - Bursting "around" the moment I want to snap...outstanding.
**ON THE DOWNSIDE**
In 2004 or so, I suffered the very common "loose focus ring" facer. This was followed in 2005 by the [very related] "front part of camera falls off" problem and it "now rattles inside" question (loose screws). It seems there are a few screws that hold that whole mess together on the inside that have a tendency to come unconfined. Fortunately, at the time, I found a forum on a website that included a posting of the nature of the problem and the steps (to take action-by-step screenshots/descriptions) to repair it without having to take it to Sony. It is very particular about how it comes excepting and (of course) goes back together. If you have the "loose focus ring problem" - or the more advanced juncture of that, the "lens falls off front of camera problem", let me know. I saved it and will send you the repair director in .PDF format. thedunlapfamilyATcomcastDOTnet.
EDIT: At this time (April 2009), this repair guide to which I lawful referred is still on the Internet. Find it here: [...]
BTW - I came to realize the common problem(s) described above are caused by the extent "violent" spring action of the pop-up flash. Over the years after hundreds (thousands?) of "POP!"s from the flash, the screws in issue get slowly rattled looser and looser. Finally, they fall out, but stay contained within the camera.
Once I performed that revamping, though, everything was fine. I used Loctite on the screws so they'll never fall out again.
The motion pictures (low quality video) it takes are, uniquely by 2008 standards, a complete joke - many (most?) cell phones take better video, now. But I found it manoeuvrable from time to time. Most recently, I used it to have some woman tell me her contact information so I could send her the pictures I had bewitched. Far easier than writing it down, you know? The sound, at least, is pretty impressive, considering.
**IN THE END**
My camera still works like a champ. I see no remonstrate with to upgrade until Sony (or somebody else) essentially re-releases the same camera with updated electronic guts. The manifest camera, itself, is just about flawless.
I'm the first to rip a product if it sucks, so I figured I'd take a moment to praise this element that has been worth every penny.
**FINAL WORD**
If you can pick up this camera used and in good prepare (especially the Zeiss lens), do it. Get that UV lens/filter I told you about. If nothing else, give it to your teenage aspiring photographer. Let their imaginations run disorderly with all the cool settings - settings that STILL don't exist on 90% of the cameras being put out today. Enjoy.

Although you can record adjustments with either the stylus supplied with the camera or the tip of a fingernail, getting a note for the amount of persuade required on the parade camera's revelation was frustrating. There were times when a mounting activated with the pure and simple boscage of a fingertip and others where we had to give a compact box to impact the modification. ‘Seizing the two seconds' to take a decisive opportunity is obstructive in such situations. help with digital SLRs (for a Sony DSC-h9/b user out there) help?
Q: i currently have a Canon s3is as the crow flies now.. im selling and looking forward to buy a new dSLR.. i was thinking of buying the s5is to be more broadminded but then i came across the Sony DSC-H9/B Cybershot..
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/issue.d o?product_id=6015163
i know its more better than a Canon s5is.. but would a Canon adapter tube for lenses fit the Sony one? i was ethical wondering.. because i dont want to buy another lens adapter again.. foresee you could help..
and does the Sony have a swivel viewfinder??
oh and one more emotional attachment.. how safe is it to buy digital camera bundles on ebay?? they sell cheaper.. and secure along with a lot of stuff.. im just wondering if its save though.. is it?
A: Canon implemented the EOS system, perchance 10-15 years ago, so doubtful they are compatable. But the EOS system is for any Canon camera, video or still. All the lenses are compatable throughout the Canon contract with.
What type of camera should I get?
Q: Hey guys!!!
(Please know below to get a feel of what I'm looking for. Thanks!)
First of all, I really enjoy photography, I'm the bona fide paparazzi of my little cousin and I do love taking pictures of unordered beautiful things. But, my camera just doesn't cut it anymore, few if even any shots can arrest quick moving objects: people running, jumping, dancing, ETC. That is my sheer concern, I really want quality photos. My camera is a sony cybershot dsc-w50 by the way.
I've been looking into Digital SLRs but of speed realize they are expensive. Since I really want quality, I'm looking into Nikons and would waste around $500 but definitely not over the thousands. I am in high school after all.
I almost forgot, I be versed people choose cameras based on how they'll use it in life. Well, I do design to pursue a career as a Graphic Designer, which I know includes images. I am also a DJ and it would improve our company in that way as well. Thats all I can think of so far, (sorry so long) Well, I Dialect expect that helps too!
Now heres my real question, should I get a DSLR, or a solid quality digital camera? Also, are you a photographer and what has your camera done for you?
Here are the models I'm looking at:

A: Before responding to your problem, I would like to preface my response regarding the issue of whether or not you should securing strictly major "professional brand" DSLRs, such as Canon, Nikon, etc. It seems that there is a much broader consummation which is not addressed initially and that is: Can anyone actually find a difference in the final symbol which camera was used to produce that image? Failing that, we ere long realize that almost "any" DSLR is subject to the mastery of pictorial techniques brought by the user of the camera. Nevertheless, there are those who seem to believe that owning a portion of high-priced camera equipment will entitled them to show off as being "professionals," which is fully not true. Anyone who wants to debate the issue of whether or not Canon or Nikon DSLRs are higher-level to each other or to other DSLRs; is just engaging in brand choice silliness because you can't see the difference in the final image.
If you are really on a budget and long for the best quality for the money, check out the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 which is reviewed at:
