Not Dependable at all! so dissapointed
I have gone through THREE of these cameras, they separate oneself a demolish for no reason. I am an avid picture taker and was So excited to get this camera with the dual screens so me and my son could take fun pictures as well as me and my friends while we are out. All I did was scram the thing on and the lens got stuck in the on position and the screen wouldnt turn on at all. I took the battery-operated in and out a few times and still nothing. It took great pictures when it did work. But going through 3 of them within 5 months was too much for me. Until Samsung can make a more sturdy lens (which if you go to best buy or another store to check this out you can feel that the lens is "loose"). I anticipation this review helps some people.
    Notable Camera
This is an affecting camera especially for taking easy point and shoot photos. This camera is unqualifiedly dumb-proof...anyone can figure it out.
I recently used it for my grad school graduation and it took improve pictures. Even my 6 year old niece took excellent pictures with this camera.
    Appropriate Camera
I had problems with this camera but Amazon worked with me and I was sent another camera. First camera would not even suffuse. The second camera was fine and my husband likes it.
    A very considerable camera
I bought this camera for my the missis and I can tell you it's very good for the price paid, we've taken pictures in almost every scene and they were great. The only down I can muse over of is the battery life when you turn on the front display, but we'll soon get a second battery to avoid constant out of power.
    Big enfeeble of my money
I was in the end disappointed with this camera. I wish I had returned it. I went and bought a new (and cheaper) Nikon which I use as opposed to.
Here were my problems with it:

Once you push the button to take a picture, it takes a couple seconds to take it. This is a dealbreaker for me with a camera. The five-year-old camera that I was replacing took pictures before you can say 'Jack Robinson'.

The pictures have different dimensions than most cameras. So if you get your pictures developed at 4x6, you will either need to edit all the pictures first to food them yourself, or risk peoples heads being chopped off. The dimensions are not a problem if you just look at your pictures on a computer. They are the dimensions of HDTV.

The ONLY use one's head I bought this camera was because of the front display. I am going on vacation with my boyfriend and wanted to take great pictures of the two of us in front of the Eiffel belfry, etc. This feature let me down because the touch screen is so large on the back that when I turn it around I tend to accidentally touch it and busy oneself with the settings. Also, since it takes so long to take the picture, someone usually does something weird with their face before the impression actually takes.

I did not find the use of this camera's menus, etc., to be intuitive. I am in my early twenties and can usually consider out new technology easily, and using this was frustrating. I absolutely do not recommend this product and I will never buy a Samsung again.

Grotesque Camera, Stay Away of this camera it's worst than a TOY
    I'm an fanatic to photography.

In my experience i have used Nikon, Canon even Kodak.

Recently my sister asked me to buy this Samsung because she was mobile to Paris and wanted to use the "front screen" feature to take herself pictures.

My family also traveled and as i had an old canon powershot G7 i determined to left it in the house to experience this brand new modern Samsung.

It looked good in the outside, i placed my tripod on this and started to pilgrimages around Europe.

    What a Dissapointment !

The quality is AWFULL, TERRIBLE !

The lenses of this camera is a "Scheneider", what a share of glass.
The lenses takes deformed pictures!!!, when the subject is near to the borders of the mould.
The camara itself has very bad response in low light conditions.
And what to say about the turn off time, it takes years to get the camera on to take your first visualize, is like it's too complicate for the camera to read the microsdhc memory.
    So....
Avoid this waste of small change, if you buy a camara this is a rule of life, just buy a trusted brand, Canon and Nikon have never disapointed me, even the simpliest exemplar can make a lot lot better pictures than this sad toy.

thanks and greetings from PERU !
Ball loves the display the front
Well-known little camera with a unique front display that makes taking handheld pics of yourself a sinch. Dont like the touchscreen so much but I am certain I'll get use to it. Image quality is great.
    Samsung TL225 Superb value
Stingy but mighty; this camera offers ease of use and quality pictures for the price. Purchased for vacation and for ease of access - I still haven't read the instructions to take advantage of the many other features. The back screen is sensitive and so my only issue has been accidently hitting modes that are not intended...my bad for not reading the instructions. Extraordinarily recommend this camera for people who want to take decent pictures without a lot of fuss.
I enjoyment it!! makes my friends' cameras look outdated hehe.
I did lots of scrutiny before buying this camera, I love Samsung products, and this one sure didn't disappoint me. My friends have novel brand cameras, and my takes the best pictures. the video is great too. It does mute the microphone while zooming. but is not a big handle, I don't zoom in and out while taking a video. I find it very easy to use. it locks the main screen when you tap the front one to take a self account, to prevent any accidental change on the settings. I'm in love with this camera. love the design, the features, essence quality, video quality, etc. etc. etc. If you are looking for a Kool good quality camera, get this one.
    Small point and shoot
Bought this camera for my little woman to use to replace an older Olympus. She LOVED the front LCD feature, just had a lot of features that seemed to overwhelm her. But she had no problems once in self-acting mode. Takes great pics even in low light and high def video is great too. If I would be masterly to do it again, I think she would have been happier with the non touchscreen models. All and all still a great, fun, attention getting camera!

    Samsung examination
This is a Cyclopean camera. Although I wanted one with fewer mega-pixels, this one is easy to use and a bargain. The front screen is expensive in taking pictures with myself and others. I don't have to rely on strangers to take the shot I want. The micro SD chip makes remove from the camera to the PC a snap. I'm glad I purchased this camera!
    Exceptional gift, no complaints.
I had a bad go through with Amazon previously so I was surprised when everything went smoothly. I purchased this camera as a gift so I can't give a assess on the actual camera but for the price and the shipping time, it was great.
Win sure this is the model is you are searching for
I was looking for the TL225. I found this one under the other New/Familiar vendors. It didn't have the model name in it but it did say 12.2 megapixel so I assumed it was in the right place. Illegitimate. The vendor was easy to work with and did refund the camera cost but not the original or return shipping. Purchaser beware-Make sure you are getting what you want before buying! I did get the camera I wanted from another Amazon vendor and I Ardour it!

This camera was not very worth. The front screen is excellent but it's the only decent feature it has. The quality of the pictures is really poor.
This is the worse camera meet with I have had
I contemplation this was a cool camera. Then I started to use it. It kept freezing up and i had to take the battery out. The lens stayed stretched out and frozen and i had to send it back. It has a great design but it has to work. And it seems to be put together with scotch tape. My Fondness Camera EVER!!!!!
I knock in love with this camera from the get go. I saw it on TV and needed it. The pictures are awesome. Its a great camera to just trifle around with and find new and cool ways to edit pictures and how it takes pictures. You can even set it to take a picture when it detects a smile!!! Is't that smashing. It could have a longer battery life but there is a power save mode so def. use it.
not a gigantic camera for kid pics
i hope this camera would be great for pics of the grandkids - wrong
the clown picture on the front does nothing to grab their attention
it takes way too long to take another picture....
and could never get the front screen to come on to try to take a self portrait

    TL 225 Samsung Camera
dThis camera takes distinguished pictures.Having a wideangle lens is most convenient. Its manual needs referring to. There is much to learn. The TL225's very dense size is most welcome.t
    The absolute self-portrait camera
This spin-off is everything I expected... including the issue of having to deal with 100% touch-grade. I didn't get an iPhone and other touch-screen devices for this reason, however this camera is worth it. It in truth it's as bad as I imagined.

It has great features that makes photo taking severely easy, and changing enough to appease advanced photographers. A definite must have if you're used to a flip-out screen camera and have always wanted something more small.
    Textile little camera, but slow
I received this as a Christmas bent from my boyfriend because of it's ability to take self pictures more easily. Admittingly, this is quite an awesome headline. However, I have grown to love Sony Cybershots. I have previously owned the DSC-T9 and the DSC-W150. My major grievance about this Samsung is how slow it takes pictures. More often than not I miss out on things because it's doing something. So it's hard to take pictures promptly one after each other, unless you have the multi-shot option activated. My Sony's were always so quick. The TL225 is a arrant little camera, and it is a lot of fun. I think it's great for what it is. The picture quality is amazing. The oddball reaction is when I received it, it was set to take 9MP instead of it's intended 12MP. The 9MP came out so fuzzy, as opposed to taking the same picture at 12MP. Perchance someone else knows the reasoning for this. My only other comment about it is that since it's my first touchscreen camera, I am still getting used to it, even though I've now had it for 5 months. I'm always by accident selecting something.

All in all, this is a good camera, I just have a couple pet peeves about it. And I would recommend it if someone is okay with the past it picture taking reaction time.

      Customer Reviews

Not the first-rate, but not the worst either
The camera takes favourable pictures, and the front screen is fun, but there's already 2 black lines across the back screen..... I don't think it should damage that handily... It doesn't affect the outcome of the photo any though. It's just a nuisance.
      Appalling.
I had seen many commercials for this camera, brown study the front screen was a cool feature, and really needed a new digital camera. All the qualities I destitution seemed to be there, so I went ahead and bought it. I wished I had waited awhile and read more reviews and not lately bought it because it was new and different and had that extra screen feature. It is SUCH a waste of money. I wish I had figured it out before my replace policy expired, because it was such a disappointment. I brought it with me to Florida and went to a theme park and managed to get fair pictures only because I stood super still and had time to stand there and take a picture rather then shoot quick ones. I found that the handle kept getting stuck whenever I tried to snap a quick picture, and I'd have to repeatedly entreat and hold until it actually got the shot. Then about a week later I brought it with me to a concert for a band that I have been waiting to see for 5 years, and I got nothing but groggy, horrible pictures. It was so disappointing. I repeatedly tried changing the settings thinking that would turn out to be a difference and it really didn't. I took 226 pictures that night and the only sharp, courteous ones I got maybe counted to about 10. The zoom was horrible and I was only 5 rows from the stage, yet population I know who were 20 rows back had clearer pictures then I did, and made it look like they were where I was sitting. You could do out facial features and details with their pictures and it looked so close you'd think they were standing justly in front of them, yet I could see the veins on the guitarists hands and couldn't even capture a solid picture. Needless to say I won't ever buy Samsung again, and have contemplated employment them up and telling them about their awful product but figured this would be much more beneficial. Do not waste your money. The front screen isn't even significance it, even if you take a lot of self portraits or pictures with other people, the screen may seem convenient but the picture will probably end up unfocused anyways, don't lather.
      Buttons unavoidable to read
I needed a camera at once and bought this camera today for a function this weekend. It is going back to the store tomorrow. The mind-boggler is the case of the camera is black plastic and the functions buttons on the back are black on black, making them almost unimaginable to read. Why they put black on black is beyond comprehension. This camera is going back as I need to be able to see what the buttons are for without a flashlight. Now that I'm reading other reviews the embodiment quality seems to be lacking in this camera also.
Doesn't sharply defined unclear in video
I like the truly that there's a small screen in the front, but right after the picture's taken, the camera must stay there for a second in regularity for the camera to process it and the picture not be blurry. It wouldn't be so much a problem if I had steady hands. Also, in video, when you put reader close up, it won't focus, which I'm sad about b/c I like to film videos that involve reading small subject-matter from time to time.
You get what you pay for
I got this on selling for about $129, though its going for about $99 right now.
Pros: Cheap/Affordable!, quality beautiful photos, portable, lightweight
Cons: Feels cheap, everything from the buttons to the rotating options whither wreaks of poor construction. VERY poor at taking up close pictures (Thinking of delightful a picture of a receipt or a ID with this camera? Think again!). rear LCD screen feels smaller than equivalent sized LCD's. Doesn't retract the zoom feature when in photo viewing mode like my canon.

      Other notes:
The front LCD very isnt as useful as one might think, unless you're taking a face shot of yourself, you most likely won't be using it.
The put up LCD is a bit indented and looks smaller than other comparable LCD's.
Most of the picture taking modes are useless... but that's to be expected with this pricing.

Compendium: Would I buy this camera again? well I wish I had bought it at that $99 price tag instead of $129. It's cheap, it works significant for scenic photos, it would make a good present for a teenager as the frontal LCD is fancy all be it rather unusable outside of self photos.
