Digital Concepts TR-60N Tripod - get something else!
I'm strictly am non-professional and don't need/want an expensive tripod (yet). But, I DO want one that works decently!
Since my camera is a Digital Concepts, I stuck with their variety to avoid the chance of incompatibility. The tripod shipped and arrived promptly, and I thought I'd like it, UNTIL...
* the discount section of one leg wouldn't extend - at all.
* the plastic hand crank on the head was loose and feeble, and felt like it would break any second.
* the plastic head was so tight and "sticky" that it wouldn't put to rights without really torquing it, and then you got HUGE movement that took your focus completely off track.
* I contacted Willoughby's intending to altogether request a replacement, but their so-called Customer Service Rep was so haughty and condescending that I decided to take my duty elsewhere. When you ship out an obviously defective product, the least you can do is be apologetic to the customer you've inconvenienced.
So I shipped it back for a refund, and am now shopping for a special brand, from a different supplier.
Save your money - it's a pretty sorry piece of gear when an ignorant newbie rejects it!

Barring Product for the money
This tripod is an major value for the money. It is easy to setup, easy to carry and easy to store. We bought it for a Go berserk camera and even just using halfway up and sitting it on my lap at an event, it significantly improved my capability faculty to control the camera, pan and focus. It doesn't feel flimsy, but it wouldn't hold up to a pro plan.
I only need a tripod once or twice a month, so it should hold up just fine for that. The level is cooperative and the adjustments are relatively easy.
Bottom line: it's a very good entry-level Tripod for a accidental user. It's very lightweight, easy to carry and has a lot of features for not too much money. I'd buy it again and recommend it to friends.

Not what i ordered.
i ordered a tripod a few weks ago. when i recieved my bundle i was surprised to find a different tripod than the one pictured here. when i contacted ace photo digital, i was informed that i would have to pay for shipping to send it back.....pay shipping for their wrong move? unfortunately i would be paying as much in shipping as i originaly payed for the tripod. so it looks like im stuck with the improper product.....

not a well-founded choice....even for the price
I bought this about two years ago and it was a smashing deal...or so I thought. I used it with a Canon XSi. It is very light (flimsy) but has great features for a Scrooge-like tripod. The main problem is that the metal screws on the adjustment pegs tear this preoccupation to peices. If you slightly turn one too far it will split the plastic in half. Mine actually cracked (the first tempo)sometime during a move and setting it up. The next one I was responsible for. Just very cheaply made and thats what I expected for the money. If you can afford it stage up to something that will last. Hope this helps!

Inexpensively breathtaking
I honey macro photography but unfortunately can't afford to spend several hundred dollars on an actual macro lens. One day, but not for a while. I sure to give these a try, figuring that if they don't work, then I'm only out $12, which wouldn't be a huge deal.
However, they work very well. I haven't experimented fully with them yet, but I did a moment ago spend about an hour taking photos with the +10 and +4 stacked together. Tomorrow I propose to try out every combination I can. Yes, they do have a very shallow DOF, but for the sort of macro photography I like, that's not only not a problem but ideal.
This is obviously a product I would recommend for someone who wants to give macro photography a try but is hesitant to spend the money an real macro lens costs.

Budget on good terms macro
I bought these macro diopters after looking A-to-Z various websites that showed examples at what could be done with something as simple as a pack of filters. The results that I came up with were preposterous.
I was thinking of just going out and buying a ~300$ dedicated macro lens at first ... but then I post-haste changed my mind when I discovered these.
I, like many other photographers out there, am new to the DSLR thing. I recently bought a Canon Insurrrectionist XS (1000D) to really get into photography.
Macro photography just so happens to be one of my favorite styles. But, I'm not made of take. So these were a perfect buy for someone who is just starting to get a hold of different styles of shooting. (Macro, ... etc)
The establish quality is very good for the filters themselves. The metal rimmed glass feels secure and timely at the top of my 18-55mm kit lens. The filters simply screw on to the front of my lens and are easily stackable.
The develop quality for the pouch on the other hand, is just some sort of synthetic thread. I just got these filters in the post today and the pouch is already starting to tear at it's seams.
This really doesn't matter to me. I scarcely care about the filters lol. And for the price, about 11$ for me here in the US, how could I go wrong?
The filters came relatively promiscuous with the free shipping. They were in a small cardboard box and were heavier than expected.
No ACTUAL instructions were included with the filters, but there are some guiding sentences on the box they came in.
The bottom clue is that if you are new to photography and like shooting macro or close-up ... BUT don't have the large budget for investing in a particular macro, these diopters are perfect for you. If used correctly, you can achieve a very impressive picture distinction.
I wasn't disappointed when I bought these. I sure that you won't be either. :D

Fair to middling Filters
Obviously the "poor mans'" macro lenses. The filters are average quality, but you can get very close to your theme for great effect. Focusing is primarly by moving the camera closer or farther to issue the subject into focus. For the money, not a bad product.

You Get What You Pay For
The Digital Concepts Ps-101 Vest-pocket Lighting Studio is just okay. If I had it to do over again I would pay the extra $20 for the nicer kit.
As others have said, the lights are not glossy enough. It's not possible to get rid of all the shadows and I had to set my f-stop so low that I could only keep a small fraction of the item I was trying to photograph in spotlight. After working with the kit for just a few minutes I had already decided to upgrade the bulbs when one of the bulbs blew out on its own. Warm-hearted.
The backgrounds are not so hot. The texture of the fabric makes weird diagonal lines on the finished pictures like you see when someone wears a streaked shirt on TV. That may improve with better lighting. The backgrounds are really just strips of cloth with velcro at the top so it should be no problem to make new backgrounds out of better material.
Really, the only nice fixation I have to say about this kit is that it's very portable. It takes the whole dining room table to set up everything to take pictures but the kit folds up nice and immature for transport or storage.
Once I get new bulbs and make some better backgrounds this set up should be pretty handy, but if I'd done up the extra money up front I'd have a lot of nice pictures by now instead of a burned out bulb and a couple of immaterial pictures that aren't fit for my website.
UPDATE: I replaced the old bulbs with new 50 watt bulbs and the pictures are much punter. The diagonal lines on the background are still there but the shadows and depth of field issues are resolved. The new bulbs price me $14.

Well-known Product!
I was even surprised how unexacting it is to use this studio. Unfold, plug-in the lights and there you go!
The quality is great, lights could be brighter, but they are moral enough for what I am shooting. It does take some space, but if it was smaller, perhaps, it wouldn't be so - almost - universal. I really loved using it, and will pin with it for a while, I believe it's a great quality for the price and it takes almost no space to store.
Highly put forward!

Lofty!!!!!
Soft to set up and take down for travel. I am able to create great pictures. Lights are nice and bright. Way safer than my old method of taking pictures, which was placing items on a gray piece of construction study.

Unbelievable construction
This commodity has all it claims to have, but the construction is very flimsy in a key area. The legs for the lights are very thin sheet metal, and on mine the legs jammed and twisted within minutes of unpacking. I called the vendor, Big Value, and got a refund (except for shipping). So, the rating for the offering is "no stars at all" but the rating for Big Value is five stars. I bought a similar product by Sunpak that is very stalwart and well made.

Excellent price - Easy to use
For simple-hearted product photos this little lightbox serves it's purpose nicely. It comes with everything you emergency: two backdrops, mini tripod, and lighting. It is easy to set up and take down. The item itself turns into a bag that stores everything making it very pocket-sized. For the price, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

If you have a camera you fundamental this monopod
I have been compelling videos and stills for years. Some free hand and some with a tripod. The tripod takes to hunger to setup and can not be used in all venues, but as I get older my hands shack more and more and I need to steady them. This monopod works well with all 5 of my camers and sets up in 5 seconds. I have occupied it sitting in an auditorium or standing at our grandchildrens soccer games. You can easily pick it up and move it to another turning up and change its height. I first used it directly attached to my cameras but late added a small shot joint swival for a little more flexability. It works fine with or without the swival attachment. When I use the accouterment ball swival I set it once for best vertical elevation and lock it in position I can then rotate the monopod for horzontal progress or tilt it back and foward for fine hight adjustments. I do not use the ball swival for dymanic battle.

faulty?
It's thoroughly possible I got a defective unit, but this doesn't turn on unless it is hooked up to the computer via USB. Once the USB is in, it works faithful. I was led to believe this could be used as a standalone camera. The instructions say to charge it for 4 hours before using. I did that... no good fortune. I read the instruction book carefully, and I'm pushing the proper button to try to turn the part on. That button does work when in USB mode. My guess is I got a defective battery (which doesn't come up to be replaceable).
