SO stupefying!
I needed a camera for my blunder to new zealand. I have HORRIBLE luck with cameras as I always seem to loose them after I buy them so I needed a good camera at a good consequence that if I lost it wouldn't really matter. I've had this camera for over a year now and it has been wonderful. The pictures be communicated out great! Yeah you have to use batteries but it's a small price to pay for a cheap/ great camera. I'd introduce buying rechargeable batteries. Im very happy I purchased this camera. Keep in mind, It isn't an HD HIGH trait camera. If you like all the bells and whistles of a cannon or whatever, this camera isn't for you. It's great but basic

wasted my filthy rich
I bought this camera in June and it has already forsake making pictures. I feel I wasted my 69.00 on this because it has never made good pictures and now it is froze up.I can bring out b develop it on but have to take batteries out to turn off. As much as I read the manual I never could get the white balance right. It was always too light shell and sometimes inside if there were any lights on. I tried to go on the website to see if any troubleshooting hints might help, but it was not a site to go into.I don't identify if they don't want anyone to go into there or what. I am very disappointed in this camera and have ordered a canon. My daughter just bought one and it is a life of difference to this one. I think I will be very happy with it.

Consummate camera for the price!
We bought this camera last summer as a grant for our 7-year-old son. We wanted something easy, with regular batteries (not expensive camera batteries) that didn't cost an arm OR a leg in crate it got destroyed. It has been perfect!
He took it on vacation with his grandparents and came back with some surprisingly decent pictures (minus the ones of population missing heads;). The batteries hold up well, it fits nicely in the hand (Lilliputian big for his, but that's good - too small and it gets lost easier), and is not heavy. The SD card is great, as I can by a hair's breadth pull it out and plug it into my laptop to have any photos printed.
Night photos are not necessarily the ultimate, but then again, he's not generally outside at night! As long as you're within a reasonable distance from your subject, then the photos spiral out fine. Too far away, and it's a dark blur.
For the price we paid (gold box special, I entertain the idea), it's been a terrific camera. My budding photographer has gotten great use out of it and will continue to do so!

Rout Bang for the buck
I at first bought this from [..] off of one of their many newsletter deals, i took a chance, and it was money well spent. The illustrate quality is awsome, most of the menu's are pretty easy to figure out. If this is your first camera i would read the enchiridion, if not i would keep playing around with the settings to get your bearings. Once you get that then you will see how great of buy this is. i use it for my video podcasts as well. Check the intro on one of my "propensity show" videos[..]click nocents podcast, Also you should buy another battery if you want to take more then 2 hours of video, a 4 gig dance-card will hold about 40minutes of video.

DCS 1050, and Norcent
I first purchased the Norcent DCS 1050 in May of 2008. It worked elegant for about 10 days. Following multiple attempts to get it working again, I contacted the maker-- [..]
Their phone #'s leading lady the user through a maze that takes them nowhere. No voice mail, and no live contacts. The store ph# doesn't take you to anyone who can absolutely help, though they do state they are sincerely apologetic for any troubles you might be having.
Following a formal gripe to the Los Angeles Better Business Bureau (LABBB), I received a response from Norcent, and they agreed to supplant-- not repair, but replace-- the camera.
It took from my complaint filing in early August to September 14 before I received a replacement camera. Think back on, I bought the camera in late May, and didn't actually receive it until mid-June.
After receiving the camera, I went about my ordinary use of it-- my wife had given up on it because we'd had it so seldom when she did want it, she just got frustrated and quit trying to use it.
In November 2008, justifiable before T-day, I made a handful of videos, and got them off-loaded to my computer. All was well following that, and I took some photos to load on to facebook latter that. Then came Christmas. On the 24th, I went to take some more photos and received the same troubles that I had in July. It turned on, and then within a few seconds stopped working. I'd take away the battery, make sure it was charged, and try again. Below is a link to far greater detail of the troubles faced, both with the camera, and Norcent's pronunciation, or lack thereof.
[..]
If you own one of these cameras and are not dealing with these troubles, you did indeed get a great camera.
If you haven't bought one yet, you may hanker after to do some more research before you do.
Look up the LA BBB's website and enter Norcent. There are two listings.
The one in Azusa is the main location. The San Dimas offices are.... well, you don't requisite to have to find out the hard way.
The two phone numbers that are available on their website are-
626-334-2927
626-815-0831. If you really want to try their camera, call first to get an approximation of their tech support.
[..]
I found there were some 53 complaints against this company. My first complaint, as stated was resolved in what seemed an peaceful manner.
This morning I called again and all contacts were exactly as before I'd contacted the BBB in August. Both my emails were returned as "ill recipients." And both were directed to my previous contacts-- I can only guess that they've left the company, or had the addresses stopped so they'd not have to deal with the contacts.
To me this camera is a real disappointment. The idea and price are nice, but the verified device is a joke.
I find it hard to believe that Norcent is deliberately being fraudulent. It could well be that there are some 53 of us who've just gotten a lemon and have bad "karma." It does happen. Who knows how many they've actually sold. If they've sold 100,000, then 53 is statistically well-thought-out.
I usually have "good luck" with technology, but within the past year, I've bought a few items that valid don't work as advertised.
The Norcent DCS 1050 10 mega pixel digital camera is one of those that haven't worked as advertised for more than a few era following my receipt of them.
If someone among you can actually get me a long-lasting DCS 1050 that works consistently, please do so.
Base to be the bearer of bad news.

High-minded Camera at a great price
The Norcent DCS-1050 was a enthusiastic purchase for $130. You get up to 10 MP, it is easy to navigate the options and is small enough to easily take with you. Comes with a decent battery that lasts long enough to take alot of pictures even with the flash on and comes with its own maintain case that can fit on your belt. Picture quality is good. The only issue is that it is fair in low light. Some of it is that I have to learn to use the odd features like low light setting that will help but still could be better.
Overall value for the readies is that this cannot be beat for a nice camera for the family. Great deal go buy it.

Norcent PF801 8-Inch LCD Digital Photo Fabric
I found this frame easy to use, and very beautiful. I was drawn to it because it was so attractive and different from frames seen everywhere.
It took no space at all to put photo's on it . I have been very happy with it's performance since purchasing. I will buy more of these frames in the future and recommend them highly.

Works spectacular for me.
I in point of fact got this for $60. Once I received it, I plugged it in, put some pictures on it and it works just great! This images are close and clean.
I'm not a professional, so I'm not interested in any small color shift, or anything else technical. I wanted something to show pictures of my missus and children - this does the trick just fine for me.
The docs don't say how much internal storage there is, but I was common to get a card for it anyway.

Considerable if you can get it for a good price.
I got this for $60 supplementary tax from another site. The picture frame looks very nice in an 'expensive' wood and metal blueprint, although I would a prefer larger screen with a smaller frame. The other reviewers say that it comes with software, but mine's comes with no software, so I had to get my own software to resize pictures to 800x600 and upload it to the twin frame.
There are several good things about this Norcent PF801. The screen resolution is 800x600 while alot of the cheaper portrait frames are 480x360 or even worse 480x272 for those cheaper widescreen essence frames. Personally, I hate these manufacturers get cheap and make widescreen (16x9) perfect frames when most pictures you take are full size frames (4x3). The screen resolution looks thoughtful if you put in 800x600 pictures. Another bonus for this picture frame is that you can play .mp3's or slide way where you can play pictures and mp3s at the same time. You can do this by putting .mp3s and .jpgs into one folder onto the flash or memory playing-card. However, the speakers are kind of weak, but that is expected. Another reviewer mentioned that it players xvid and divx as well mpeg4 files. However, the pictures you play stretches to the full size screen if you play 16x9 movies.
There are some drawbacks about the picture set off. It does not have a mode where you can randomize the picture that you want to show. I have problems turning on the picture organization using the remote and I had to turn it on in the unit itself. This is a good product and I consider it as one step above than the tight-fisted digital frames that you can get on Black Friday and it is worth the cost if you can get it cheap. I doubt that Norcent would specify firmware updates or decent support for this product otherwise I would give it 5 stars instead.

Easy on the eyes decent
I got this as a refurb piece.
The frame is pretty high grade, tilts, solid brushed metal and insensitive frame (that frame is probably MDF with faux wood)... The looks match the "Administrative" label on the box. Pretty slick.
Comes with a desk foot, wall mount, and the snazzy escritoire mount pictured. Pretty much can install it as you wish.
The software works well. Simple and leave bare. I have not noticed any freeze yet.
small design flaws:
The rotating frame allows virtuous the right amount of space to plug in cards or usB cables. They are on the sides instead of top/bottom (buttons are at the top).
Also there is no storage niche for the remote.
When you pull the digital frame from the frame (very easy), suddenly it's compact, 1/2 the dimensions. It looks more plain -black plastic-, like a car DVD screen unit. Clean but not exceptionally snazzy.
Photos in cards need to be selected via the menu. Built in memory is shown as slides exactly.
I agree with the shortcomings:
Lacks random, and "slow" mode is way too fast. Photos look too tolerant too, but I have saved 800x600 pics in there. I will try to save higher res pics to see if it helps. I wonder why ethnic resolution photos look poor.
I also opened the frame to see inside if I could hack a larger LCD small screen in place. As usual the screen has a custom connector, this one is split in two halves. No go.
Internal electronics assemble looks very clean.
