no undertaking!Lens got stuck, tried to call agreement for replacement, they refused and offered a for-pay repair option instead. The breakage occured less than two months after the particular was purchased, new.
Don't buy it - The Freestyle issue is that severe
I didn't hold the prior reviews about the battery and how bad the drainage is, don't make my same mistake!
It is exactly an excellent but short term camera
I bought this camera in because the consequence. I was amazed of all the features and quality of pictures. I traveled for Christmas and I took 300 pics, then I traveled in summer, 1200 more pics, last Christmas again, 600 pics and my camera died!! It was never hit, well bewitched care but not long life. So we can say it is a one year camera if you take a lot of pics. If not...it can last.
Christmas Fift
Hello:
Purchased this component as a donation gift for a very poor family. Thye love it.
Not merit it
I bought this camera for my son one year ago for Christmas and it went through the batteries like crackpot. It didn't produce a quality picture either. Fast forward one year and I had to buy him another one for this Christmas because it stopped working in all respects. Very disappointing.

Customer Reviews
Admiration It!!!!All I can say is I preference this camera, the quality is great and so was the price.....I am very happy with the product!!!!
Could Be Better, Though It Serves Its Long
This camera works fetching well if you manipulate and use the environment and different features to your advantage. I had to learn to do that with my really old 3 mp HP camera so I'm pretty familiar. Like the HP, when it's not using flash, it collects light from the environment in order to get the idea. Sometimes it's a good thing--you just have to be sure you're mostly still while it's doing this.
I bought this camera under the mistaken theory a greater number of megapixels meant better resolution. In some cases this is true. (I also bought it because it uses Li-ion batteries and was still unbelievably cheap.) I've only had this camera a couple of days, but I'm already getting the hang of some things. I've learned the worst quality is obtained by using the "leaf" mode--that button labeled with a flower on the to be fair on the bottom wheel. Also, it's best for me not to use the flash; I've never liked flash on any kind of camera. Anyway, in a couple cases I hardened the flash (several versions of the flash and SCN mode) and the pictures actually turned out far less clear than without the dart. Queer.
Random, but a review read it's not a brand name. GE is a brand name: General Electric. They make a medley of products, and I suppose my general satisfaction with its other electronics also propelled my decision to get this camera.
For some reason my camera can't seem to keep apprehend of date (it's been about a month off--I have to make sure the date is correct each time I turn it on, though I shot in the dark it doesn't really matter. They don't show up on the pictures, but it's annoying to see it in the corner when viewing on the screen). It can keep course of the time, though it does seem to be lagging by a couple minutes. It also doesn't seem to understand I don't like using the succour beam because after a couple pictures without it, it will revert back to using it.
Specifically I go into stabilization mode, no trice, leaf mode in order to get the clearest pictures. When I put the pictures on my computer, I was surprised by the clarity--I could see the threading of my pillowcase, approximately each individual eyebrow and eyelash hair, individual red threads which had found their way from my hat to my bandanna, and other tiny lint.
The zoom on it is wonderful. It may look pixelated and fearsome on the screen when its at its tightest, but when it actually takes the picture, it turns out very clear. It actually wrought up me to use it, taking pictures of cars in a parking lot from behind a sliding glass door yards in another place. Couldn't even tell the picture was taken from behind a glass door.
Movie mode is effective and acceptable. (I'm not much for movies). It comes out in MOV format; I downloaded a converter to see it in mpeg.
Panoramic rage works fairly well. It does its best to match up what you take pictures of (you have to match it up to a degree, also, of order) and connects a set of three pictures. I guess the problem lies in the user, getting the shadow of the facsimile you already took to match up as much as possible with the image you're about to take.
Portrait mode, as far as I can tell, sucks, absolutely put--I can't get clear pictures using it--leaf mode isn't usable in this mode. Face recollection doesn't seem to be anything more than a smiley face in the middle of the screen. I've used cameras which actually detect multiple faces and keep a trifling box around them even as you move the camera and change focal points.
It is pretty loud when it focuses to take pictures.
The buyer manual booklet is rather vague and doesn't help much. I haven't used the CD yet. I haven't acclimated to any cords except for the charger since I have a memory card reader; I can't say much about the other cords just yet.
Some aspects could be much best, such as portrait mode, auto mode; it'd be wonderful if it had come with a case. The SCN mode isn't even actually necessary. Overall it's a decent camera, easy to use, functional. For the most part it serves its purpose with me.
Colossal CAMERA
I HAVE HAD THIS CAMERA Well-grounded 2 DAYS AND I HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS AS GOOD AS ANY CAMERA I HAVE HAD. FOR A POCKET CAMERA THIS IS AS GOOD ANY I HAVE TRIED AT BEST BUY. Commemorate, THERE ARE NOT MANY CAMERA MANUFACTURES OUT THERE AND WE DON'T REALLY KNOW WHO MADE THIS ONE. FOR THE PRICE I WOULD TAKE THE CHANCE. THE CAMERAS HAVE IMPROVED OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS AND THE Cost HAS REALLY COME DOWN.......UNDER 100.00 BUY IT....MY CAMERA IS THE SILVER MODEL.....
AFTER 16 MONTHS THIS CAMERA Substandard ME AND I CAN NOT FIND A SOLUTION. SEEMS THE LENSE HAS FORMED A HAZE OVER IT WHEN SEEING THE SUBJECT IN THE LCD SCREEN.. IT LOOKS Indistinct THROUGH THE LCD AND WHEN YOU TAKE THE PICTURE IT WILL COME OUT HAZY ALSO. I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A SOLUTION BEFORE I JUNK IT. IF ANY ONE OUT THERE HAS ANY IDEAS PLEASE CONTACT ME AT csoltysik@yahoo.com
I affection it
I distinguish it is not a brand name, but it is as good as canon.
it doesnt come with memory card.
A huge camera for the price
I needed a camp digital camera for personal, snapshot use, and when I hit Amazon to find one they had this one on sale with a memory card. Bottom line of work: For the price, a great little camera with good features. Obviously, if you need a perspicacious, crisp response time and high end features, you won't find them here. There is a pretty good delay in the "shutter" every so often old-fashioned, making action shots hard. But, then again, its a pocket digital camera: You get what you pay for. If, however, you just want a good unit for taking snapshots, family photos, etc., then this is a good value.
Pros: Firm, lightweight, long-lasting proprietary battery, high megapixels for a low-end unit
Cons: Power knob requires a hard press to turn on; delay in shutter snap time, menu graphics are a smidgen cheap

Customer Reviews
Paraphernalia camera though a little slow.Everything works spectacular. The only problem I had was that it's a little slow when taking the picture and when waiting to take the next picture.
The camera works awful for what i need it for
The only genuine problem i have with this camera is the fact that point in shoot is impossible. It takes around 10 seconds to boot up and take a look-alike. Also the firmware must be updated or battery life is crap.
tuneful good for price
This is a ok protuce trustworthy for th price. The video recorder does have sound but the words go faster then the pic so it gets a cheap screawed up .From the picture stand point it is alright not that great, some days it take very blurry pics. The batterie sustenance is pretty bad i go trough so much batterie with this. The portiblety is alright to it wont fit in your pocket onless your a guy.The colors cardinal! This camera is also very durible, trust me i have hade it for about 4 years, and its still about the same from when i got it!It also has differnt settings to put it on for day time or nite period ect. But i would highly recommend this protuct if you are looking for something cheap!
I liked it, but...
Beat it working for me after about 6 months. Just turned off and even with new batteries, wouldnt turn on.
so-so
I bought this camera for my missus in 2007. It takes ok pictures and is very easy to use.
Never had any of the appearantly common battery issues until cock's-crow 2010 when the Alkaline batteries would go dead for no reason while the camera was off and put away.
Brand new batteries would die in a week of storage. This maladjusted seems to have subsided after I did the recommended firmware upgrade at General Imaging's site.
We will see.

General Imaging Announces $200 Touch Screen Camera
If this is the later of sub-$200 digital cameras, the budget-camera call is about to sustain a dramaturgical kaftan.
General Imaging, the digital camera dividing of GE, recently announced its GE E1250TW digital camera. At an MSRP of only $199, the E1250TW includes a 3.0-inch LCD that serves as a rub up against colander for interacting with the camera.
The E1250TW compares very well with other cameras in its evaluate order, contribution 12.2 megapixels of decidedness and a 5X visual zoom lens. That take advantage of land movies LCD unqualifiedly sets this standard by oneself from other learner cameras, though. Interacting with a smashed similar of consumer electronics through an simple-to-use set alight camouflage is a leading encounter for users, outstandingly beginners.
Come up to sort out LCDs in sub-$200 cameras? I characterize oneself as cocky in saying the learner digital camera market will welcome that union.
One huddle of warn, although the GE camera takes radiant, on the dot, skilled go red photos, the one I bought, took pictures in a .mov style. Picasa can’t trifle with it until you download Apple software and Quicktime and those programs hijacked my computer’s silent picture fail settings and the software is unachievable to eliminate. Sears was noble about it and gave me a full refund.

Does Anybody know where to find the General Imaging E1035 Digital Camera?
Q: I extraordinarily want this camera but I can't find it anywhere!
question about the Cyber-shot® Digital Camera DSC-H50/cameras in general?
Q: i need to get a new camera... "Cyber-shot® Digital Camera DSC-H50" and if i scarceness to take pictures on this camera (the canon listed above) and set them as my desktop family will they come out blury like other digital cameras? it has 9.1 MP and a 15X visual zoom. so does the amount of MP effect the clearness of the image after it is infatuated and set as my desktop background?
A: HI Efron.... conscience-stricken that no one as tried to answer your question so far... but I would like to try :). First of all, Sony is aAs a rulegood brand of digital camera... I can certify to it as our family has 9 of the Sonies right now... Any trouble so far? The counter-statement is NO. I have not looked at the DSC H50 but if they stand true to the Sony reputation, I would bet they are produce. The optics on the Sony cameras we use are wonderful.. brittle, clear, in focus, vibrant color, user sociable.... never been in the repair shop (knock on wood, as accidents do come about)... they are reliable. About what you are asking.. 15X zoom is stunning. 9.1 MP is perfect for any shooting situation along with the clarity of the images it will bring forth for printing and enlarging. FYI... MP's are of importance for what you get from your conception when printing and enlarging... not for when you just look at them on your computer, send them to friends, or upload them to My Margin etc. To find out all of the "Specifics" on the DSC-H50... go over to the DPReview.com digital camera survey site. There they hire professional photographers to interest test all of the new, incoming models. They really take them through their paces and then story their findings so that we, the consumer can make intelligent choices about the cameras we are assessment about purchasing. No one HERE is that kind of expert. Check them out and see if the DSC-H50 would be the trounce camera for you. Happy shopping... and thanks for reading my fulfil... hope I could be of help. :))
