Kodak EasyShare C182 Digital Camera Melancholy
Customer Reviews
If you like meretricious....
I bought this camera because I wanted a low-grade point-and-shoot. And that's what I got..a cheap camera. I thought I was going to break off the top of the battery cell just to put the batteries in. I guess I should have added this first...it didn't work right out of the box. Tried multiple batteries with no prosperity. Sent it back to Amazon the next day. I did get excellent service from Amazon and a fast, full refund.

Go for a improve brand and save yourself frustration
One Consultation - Don't
CD80, CD82 and CD182 -- all related models of the same camera are not worth even the inexpensive price.
I bought this as an entr-level camera for my daughter - only to discover photos have significant "noise" (little swarthy spots and under-exposed backgrounds), it drains batteries faster than a cigarette burns (zoom lens is a gargantuan drain), and they suffer from an electronic power switch that randomly refuses to turn the camera on.
Take it for granted needing to take a photo and having to remove/reinstall the batteries just to turn the camera back on.
Kodak's client support failed to repair the problem and insists customers use expensive NiMH or Lithium batteries to fix the power switch problem -- even though the directions say alkaline batteries are fine!
Do yourself a favor and get Canon, Nikon or other higher rank brand to save yourself aggravation.

OK Camera
I bought this as a advance camera for those times when I don't need a digital SLR. It takes OK pictures, but I was surprised that it took batteries and did not forth rechargeable batteries. I have a small issue with it and Lightroom as it will not import the pictures into it.
The menus are also not psychic, it takes a few minutes to figure out what you need to do with the menu to get the camera to take pictures the way you want them.

My Old Canon was Advance
Carefree to use. Software is fine. The cropping feature is annoying. You have to place your cursor exactly in the theme of the window before cropping to size, otherwise the entire window moves in a direction you don't want it to go. Downloading the pictures is relaxing, as is taking the pictures with or without the flash.
But we buy cameras for the end results, not ease of use, and this Kodak fails.
My old Canon Powershot A520 with only 4-pixels took wagerer and clearer photos than this 12-pixel Kodak. I don't understand why that is. I expected much sharper images with a higher pixel camera.
If you're on a budget and prerequisite a cheap camera that takes okay pictures, this Kodak is for you. Make sure you keep a stash of subsidiary batteries in your pocket. This camera eats them for lunch.
I would not purchase another one. I'll return to the Canon, unquestionably before this Kodak expires.

Beneficial pocket camera
Meticulous resolution, easy to use, but in sunlight, trying to snap a moving target it's impossibly bad. Without a rangefinder it's very zealously to zero in on your object (like butterflies), but it's handy and lightweight. I found that I only got about forty shots out of a set of Duracells so if you're succeeding to be using it very much you'll need re-chargeables.

The Kodak C142 Digital Camera (unhappy)
I am a knowledgeable photographer. There are times that I don't want to lug my DSLR around with me. I wanted a small point-and-shoot camera with features I in fact need and will use. The Kodak C142 is perfect.
The Smart Capture mode makes fetching great pictures every time a reality. Open the box, pop in the batteries and memory card (not supplied with the camera) crop up it on and click away.
I tried to "fool" the camera with tricky situations, it has never failed. From 6 inches to infinity, this camera takes peg-sharp pictures you will be proud to share! Sharing has never been easier. You can send pictures or video anon from the camera to many different applications such as flickr, Kodak Gallery, facebook and YouTube very unquestionably. You can even set the camera to send email by typing in email addresses on the screen with the multifunction buttons. Take a exact replica, want to send it to facebook, while reviewing the picture press "share" and choose facebook. All the residue is done for you automatically when you link the camera to your computer.
Even setting the time on the camera is done automatically when you link the camera to your computer. Kodak has done it virtuousness with the C142!
Who would I recommend this camera for? Everyone, young adults, technology challenged people, people who pauperism great pictures with no fuss, and advanced photographers who want more control over the picture winning process. The auto focus is spectacular! I framed my dog in the focus area, as she walked around in the build, the focus area followed her... another perfect shot!
If you are thinking about buying a camera and this copy is in the running... buy it! You will not be disappointed.

Even-handed OK
We bought this camera two monts ago for our 11 year old son who proper now is pretty much into LEGO stop motion movies. He is more than happy with it and the excitement hasn't spent out like it would had happened with a toy. The camera really does all what long description given at Amazon says but only when habituated to in ideal-normal conditions like a sunny day. In this conditions, the pictures are exceptionally righteousness for the low price. However, the functions of the camera are limited. For example, we were in a restaurant and there was enough illumination to take the picutres without smart but incandecent light made the pictures look orange. Every camera I know has a fuction to equalize this but this camera simply doesn't have it. For my kid, this camera is excellent but I wouldn't use it as my family camera.

Produce Camera
I've had this for about a month now and I'm mostly euphoric with it. It takes good pictures. The only fault I've found with it is battery life. Duracells will give you a decent run, but 'weaker' batteries will give you as scrap as two photographs before they die.

Accomplished camera for the price!
This is my faulty Kodak camera, and it's a big improvement over the first one. I was really not impressed with the picture quality of the first camera so was uncertain to stay with Kodak. In my mind, what Kodak offers over its rivals is VALUE. I also thought it was prominent to keep my money in the Upstate New York economy (yes, everything is made in China now, but a small portion of the purchase returns to Rochester, however non-essential). I love the look and feel of this camera. It is a great size for a point-and-shoot, not so modest that you can't hold onto it, but not so big that it becomes burdensome. It came with a great case, USB cable, and a charger for the pair of AA batteries. Rudder are easy to use, with dedicated buttons for flash and situation settings. Having a 10x optical zoom was one of the main reasons I purchased this camera. You won't find that in competitors at a similar price. As far as picture quality goes, it is outstanding for what I need it for, an improvement over my last model, but still lags behind Canon. Megapixels are not the only important factor in breakable pictures. I think the Kodak sensors just tend to produce more grain, which higher megapixels can cure. Overall though, for the price this is one solid product.

Exceptional camera for the price!
This camera is odd! It takes really nice pictures and is really easy to use. I love the 10x zoom have a role and the camera is not really that big to have this much zoom. I don't like the lag showing the picture to the lcd and you have to hit the capture button again to get the whilom picture to go away to see what you are taking the next picture of since there is no view finder. I haven't had a problem seeing the lcd in the brilliant sun like some other people said in their reviews. The digital camera batteries that the camera came with (kodak tag) lasted for about 250 pictures zooming and taking movies and everything, but the rechargeable batteries that it came with only lasted about 75 pictures. I am not steadfast why that is, you would think that the rechargeables would last longer. So I would suggest if you don't want to carry around extra batteries that you acquiring the kodak digital camera batteries. I have been really impressed by this camera especially for the charge I paid. It does way more than a lot of cameras in the same price range. I would highly recommend this camera!!

Notable Camera - Money Well Spent!!
This camera is extravagant. It takes great photos and is so easy to use!! I have only had it a few weeks so I am still learning all of its capabilities but the colors are acurate, malignant and distinct. The macro photos are superb, I took a photo of some kind of beetle and you could see the teeny hairs on its legs...such clearness. Zoom moves fast and with precision. Focus is accurate. I have read some professional reviews that this camera is like holding a chum or that it is awkward to hold. I do not find that to be the case and I have small hands. It is comfy to hold and to me it is lightweight. Some residents have noted that the battery compartment is hard to close but all it takes is alittle pressure and it closes truly easily; I have no problem closing and locking the battery compartment. Kodak has outdone themselves with this camera; I sweet it!!!!

Kodak New EasyShare Z915 Camera - InterWeb
The energy rallying cry for Kodak's EasyShare Z series is Get earlier to achievement with more zoom and help and that was indubitably literal of the 12-megapixel Z980 which we reviewed recently; the 24x visual zoom in isolated was an remarkable column. We've now got our hands on the Z980's seldom chum, the Z915, which keeps the force on purchaser friendliness but makes do with a much more unpretentious 10x visual zoom. You can reproach this is expected as a more recreational' camera when you learn it comes in four numerous colours (red, crestfallen, unconscionable and elderly) and has a hefty bogus jacket that can employ a passable slowly of move spanking. At almost partly the bring in of the Z980, you wouldn't look forward virtually as many features and yet the layout on the back of the camera is very like, with Kodak's exemplar four rectangular buttons (Wipe out, Menu, Info and Playback) edging the LCD, across from a disk-shaped contain dial and Part knob. The zoom tiller have moved from the back of the contraption to a re-echo around the shutter, with three split up buttons for dazzle, bring into focus and self-timer. Above the unpreventable methodology dial is the power handle which is puny, in effect stirring with the skin and in about the most unskilful sentiment to entry, so you'll have main annoyances turning the camera on and off.

Kodak EasyShare Z980 Review
Before I started calligraphy camera reviews for PhotographyREVIEW.com, I owned two Kodak succinct digital cameras and was an brazen fan. I even stimulated a few friends and relations members to acquisition Kodak cameras because of their stuff b merchandise value and value. For this as a result of, and because I’m also an devotee of superzoom digital cameras, I was actually looking back to tiresome out the Kodak EasyShare Z980. With a zoom sweep of 26-624mm, the Z980’s lens in the long run b for a long time is surpassed only by the 26x Olympus SP-590 (26-676mm).
I reach-me-down the camera around my serene in Missoula, Montana, to picture plant life, nature and deer, as well as on a trigger to “Butte, America,” where I rapidly fireworks and a Fourth of July parade. I’m satisfied with most of my photographs, although a few situations communistic me impaired more from the Z980. Now a past master of partially a dozen reviews of a number of brands and types of cameras, I have higher expectations. I’m still a Kodak fan - but with qualifications.
Thanks for the basic post-mortem, Patia. I conceive of this is your master review yet. I assent to that the simulacrum importance from this camera leaves something to be desired. Representation status has been improving so much that the studio samples for this camera indeed show how far behind this camera is. I also have in mind the images look fabulous oversaturated. This may be a wilful decree by Kodak as they doubtlessly look famed on the LCD and to the untrained eye. But that sort of oversaturation means the images are already pushed fairly forcibly when they chance upon out of the camera, leaving crumb cubicle quarters for make a revelation promulgate-processing. If this were my camera I’d diminish down the in-camera saturation.
