I'm not an wizard about radar detectors and according to review in specialized websites it seem that the Cobra 9960G (9955 asset GPS) is a very good enough radar detector. It works well in that sense for me.

My Array
Garmin has always been my vendor of pick when it comes to radar detectors. I have used other high end brands in the past with less than satisfactory results. The actually that this model contained the GPS/camera detector was a great plus.

One sustained term problem is that GPS cannot be updated from a MAC. Will have to find a friend with PC to update.
I stumbled a little on the set up - booklet not as forgive explain as it could be. Specifically, after setting what I thought I wanted, I could get the GPS to respond to camera alerts with clear bring up and tone, but not x or K band radars (only ones I encountered to date). I looked again at the booklet and determined that maybe the Intellimute setting was muting the sounds. I had turned it on, but had not yet established an rpm setting. So I turned it off and now detector works like a cultivatedness!!!!!!!
I also like the GPS compass, which allows direction without sacrificing features.

It display's both visual and audio alerts when coming to traffic signals, lets me be versed if there is a camera and if active by displaying Red if active and non active if green. This is the first CB Present I have boughten and I can say I am not dissapointed. The radio came with enough intructions to be able to fully hook up the broadcast and tune the antennas. The raido looks very nice rolling down the road with the blue lights, however, being that I whirl at night I had to have the dim setting turned down at a cb shop (which might I add are very hard to find these days) because even at dim it is very very bright for night continuously driving. As far as the Mic goes, great mic, I from time to time do use this for the bluetooth function and love it, the personally on the other end of the line can hear me crystal clear, the only problem is that you have to hold it pretty close to your look. All in all this is a great radio and would recommend it to anyone.
