WOW! You can't go infernal with the XSi!
I've owned the camera for 1 week now, and WOW! This camera is completely incredible and the picture quality is outstanding!!! The kit lens that came with it is also impressive when tempered to in bright/outdoor environments. (Some of my test outdoors pics and indoor pics with my window blinds exposed have been stunning.) However, the kit lens is a bit too slow for handheld photography in dark locations unless you use the scoot.

For those of you new to photography, a "slow lens" is basically one in which the aperture does not open wide enough to congregate the adequate amount of light in darker locations. Therefore, the shutter stays open longer until enough be discovered has been collected. This also means that if your hand shakes, pictures snapped in dark enough settings will awaken out blurry. This is not exclusive to the XSi as slow lenses on any camera will produce similar results. If watery indoor pics are not what you desire, you can correct this by using the flash, using a tripod, or...

BUY A NEW LENS! The XSi can use ANY Canon EF/EF-S lens on the call...and this includes "faster" ones as well!! With faster lenses (ie, f/1.8), soon you'll be shooting like a pro indoors also!

In the end, when inasmuch as its wide range of features, customizable flexibility, and it's picture quality, I think any rookie or inured pro would be delighted with the XSi.
Choice Entry level DSLR - Superb image quality
I bought the Resistance fighter Xsi after I was extremely disappointed by the indoor image quality from my Nikon D60 with f>8.0. Where Nikon D60 spoiled miserably, the Rebel Xsi has been superb. I routinely take indoor group photographs with it with f8 or f11 at iso 400 (sparkle on) and they come out excellent!!! They are very sharp and have very good details, I don't even need to up the iso. I would have to give 5 starts to the sensor in this subject, it is just amazing!!!

The best camera's are the ones which shine in low light (indoor) and the insurgent xsi's sensor gives it the ability to outperform anything else in this price range...

The other gr8 thing about the Xsi is that for another 90$ I was gifted to buy a gr8 portrait lens, the 50mm f1.8 prime lens. That thing is so fast that I do not need spark at all for taking potrait images of my kids. I love that lens!!!!
    ing.
Overall I am very happy with this camera. The only irritating this it has is the flash strobe based AF assist vs Nikon's AF assist lamp. The flash based AF help gives the subject's the wrong impression about when the picture is taken and is very annoying. Thankfully I have enough active in my house (where I take most of my indoor shots) that the flash AF assist is needed only about 10% of the time. I wanted to buy a speedlite to crack this issue + give me bounce flash etc., but the opteka speedlite turned out to be a waste of money (1 VIP) and the canon one (430 exII) is too much $$$ for me.

So for now I am just happy with the regular flash.... It gives penetrating exposure most of the time (For potraits I focus on the faces and for groups pics I focus on darker gear to get good exposure with the built in flash).

Also I only using center focus point 90% of the previously as it is the fastest and most accurate.

Again overall the camera is 5 star.
Most camera value for under $1500 new.
There extraordinarily isn't a better deal out there under $1500, or at least under $1,000... under the canon/nikon lineup. After 7 months of use, I can say that this is one amazing camera. It has many of the functions that you get with the 50D. Unless you take charge of about HD video or care about being able to do some major cropping to your photos, your best best for the $ is the XSi.

One article to take note is that the noise levels are amazing. One step down from this camera and you get way too much noise. The 50D has very comparable clap levels. I shoot in a club at iso 1600, exposures without flash run into 1/2 second... rumpus reduced, they are still excellent quality.. even at 1:1 crops.

Also a note on buttons: If you care about using your camera without delay and usefully (unlike a point and shoot) DON'T buy any lower than this! Any step down is missing the shortcut ironmongery buttons. Why buy an slr, only to change settings in menus?? Sure it is still missing a few buttons, but you can set your own custom menu to assistants negate that drawback.

Metering is decent, you need to make sure to point at a more impartial object to get a good reading. With using the in-camera spot metering on a lastolite ezybalance silver card to get an exposure reading (then switching the camera from Aperture Priority, to Manual and inputing those settings pore over), the exposure is quite good.

No IR assist lamp, so you will have to use an external flash with flash gunfire turned off (assuming you don't want to use flash) to use its IR assist lamp to focus in the dark. The piece to turn flash firing off, while using the focus assist lamp, is missing on a lot of cameras - so keep safe out if this is something you are interested in.

Quality is great, noise levels are great, auto focus is nice-looking good, metering is ok, LCD is amazing (!), no IR assist lamp =(

Well I'd recommend you stop reading consumer reviews and go read some professional reviews from somewhere like dpreview, the-digital-picture, and steve's digicams. These are more point of view article-esk than factual professional comparisons.
Some points to contemplate on when looking at DSLRs in this price range
If you're looking at the cameras in this prize range, that means you're likely also looking at the Pentax K-x, Nikon D5000, Sony A500, Olympus E-620 and even, potentially, the Canon T1i.

If you're looking at DSLRs and you of video on your DSLR is something you actually want or will ever use, you best stop looking at the XSi and instead spotlight on the K-x, D5000 and T1i. The XSi offers NO video functionality.

If your hope is to not need to spend extra lolly on image stabilizing lenses, then buy the K-x or the E-620. All the above listed cameras besides these 2 require you purchase lenses with trope stabilization which is an extra cost on the lens as it requires more glass. Of course, the way around the need for perception stabilizing lenses is to use a tripod or a monopod.

If you don't want to buy lenses, well, then you had better stop looking at DSLR/SLR cameras all together and ignore into point and shoot. There are a lot of nice models with really good quality pictures out there.

Recall, WHEN BUYING A DSLR CAMERA, you aren't REALLY buying a camera; you're buying a lens system. What do I denote? Well think about it this way. You are spending money on a camera body, yes. But you're also spending money on lenses. Lenses that are NOT interchangeable (except the Olympus regulation that not many manufacturers jumped on and then you still have to buy lenses to their spec and you would need a replacement camera with the same capability). If you buy this association today and begin to purchase Canon lenses, you are investing in Canon for, most likely, the rest of your picture delightful "career." The camera body is the inexpensive part in this whole endeavor and if you purchase a 55-250mm lens today, along with many others, you most indubitably won't want to re-purchase these lenses when you inevitably have to upgrade the camera. And that's where DSLR/SLR camera manufacturers get you. It's like Gillette and their obtainable razor heads.

So why then, given all the above, would one purchase the XSi over all the competition? Price is one factor. Image worth is another (the pictures this camera can take are nothing short of breathtaking, but that's all a matter of opinion, so this is just my opinion and not a asseveration of fact I can quantify). One more is lens quality. Canon (well, really all the above) have been making lenses for YEARS. And in the lens bailiwick Canon and Nikon stand above the rest.

Why did I purchase this camera? Well Canon has been around a long time and actually started the DSLR coup d' with the original Rebel camera. Their cameras always stand well on their own. While they may not stand head and shoulders above every camera out there, they do a tremendous job of holding their own in the retail. My father owns a Rebel XT and it's an amazing piece of kit for when it was made. I bought this one because the T1i supposedly has some photo aberrations almost always attributed to the sensor size that actually captures the image being too small to really utilize the 15 MP facsimile it is taking.

The price is good, I bought a brand I know and I can share lenses with my pa. That's why I bought this camera.

I realize this review is pretty jumbled. Instead of writing a full re-examination, as there are many other reviews here that do a much better job than I describing technical and non-technical details, I decided to just put down things I was judgement about as I purchased my first DSLR.

    Solid Camera for its price
I already own a D90 and right-minded purchased it as a gift item. The camera performs very well in all preset modes . Its a very nice camera if you are legitimate stepping into the SLR photography realm. I specially liked the High ISO performance of the camera. One detail that i was concerned about though was the Av mode which had problems calculating the Shutter speed at low light and the images were shadowy. Not sure if the kit lens was the issue or if the issue is with the Av mode itself. Hence i had to use either Tv or M mode. Preset modes are inordinate . Good camera for all starters...

    Authentic with Great Feature Choices
PROS: This camera has a gigantic look and feel. More compact than pictures of it may seem, but not wafer thin like some. Doesn't have lush interface, by a hair's breadth a practical and elegant one. For example, only about 5 different auto modes ('Portrait', 'Kids', etc.) that don't have case pictures; instead, you see the current shot as altered for that mode. When you press OK button options come forth down right and across bottom of view screen; you select by navigating with ring button around OK.

You have direct EV+/- be in control of via ring button and can easily set white balance via interface. Also has 'My Color' feature that lets you set go red in the face saturation, etc. via interface in Program mode: this feature is very detailed. Program mode is not undivided...cannot select shutter or f-stop priority, but does include ISO setting, so you basically can barter off noise for blur (low ISO reduces noise but slows the shutter). You just can't add depth-of-division to the mix of trade-offs without 'tricking' the settings via EV and ISO.

Low ISO shooting makes a huge difference in show quality to the point that shooting 10MP instead of 5MP at over ISO 300 is of dubious benefit. 'Indoors' vehicle mode lowers ISO for you, but using Program mode and lowering it more is better if the subject is stationary. With lots of imperceptible or a tripod photos are lavish even when zoomed when shooting ISO 80.

So at low ISO low-light shooting is great, but not for active subjects or unsteady hands. The cammera has optical stabilization, and I've shot reasonable photos at a 1 gal Friday shutter free hand, but it takes some breathing control.

Playback has the standard zoom perform and can zoom out to either a panel of thumbnails or else a faux-3D picture cycle. Will also show all settings for the shot, even settings the camera set impulsively like shutter speed. Also shows true file size along with the resolution and affected file size for that setting (the assumed size is a worst-case assumption). The camera always shows this expropriated size with resolution, which is handy, but it names the resolutions with single letters, a la VHS SP,SLP, etc., so that's what the funny L means in the question: L=highest resolution.

In spite of some spec sheets saying it's 700mAh, this camera comes with a 1000mAh mobile that is said to be capable of 700 shots when using the optical viewfinder, 220 shots using the LCD viewscreen--I fake without flash.

Camera offers three metering selections: full average, center-weighted, and blot. The face detection is nearly perfect...it can even follow faces through cross cuts while 'watching' TV, and it can be aware of 3/4 views of faces--oblique views.

Power-on time is remarkably securely. No problems with shooting speed. Flash might slow things down, but unbounced flash shots are regularly so icky I hardly use flash...it is said to be good from 1 foot (1 meter if shooting into eyes!) to 14 feet.

Camera has a magical red ray that it says helps with autofocus. You can turn it off, and I haven't really noticed much of a difference with it off.

CONS: In vehicle modes the camera picks higher ISO than I would like because I'm not shooting sports shots, etc., but I imagine the choices are good ones in general, and they can be overridden easily. The icons are not exactly self-patent. Camera does not come with a manual worth mentioning (but PDF is available). I can't speak to the software as I have no objective of using it.

The macro settings produce otherwise nice results but they are a little more fish-eye than would be morals.

In full auto mode (separate even from the individual automatic modes) the camera is constantly focusing, etc., which must use up battery-operated pretty fast. Just lightly pressing the shutter release will force settings in other modes, so unless you are shooting instantaneously changing subjects the full auto mode is probably overkill.

Misses some of the more advance features even of my 5-year-old digital. You cannot set up your own preset settings and pick them like they were built-in modes. There is no internal remembrance at all. There is no self-portrait modes where you can set up a photo and then have yourself placed in the picture by getting someone to line up a translucent variation of your setup with the scene with you in it. Etc. Still all these feature sound more useful than they really ever were since in the moment we usually do the intelligent thing and shoot the shot, anyway.

Not a accessible camera, I miss my Kodak easy share
I got this camera because it had such awesome reviews and because my mom had the 1100 model and I loved the pictures. I HATE THIS CAMERA!!! I had a Kodak Tolerant Share and I loved how the pictures turned out and how easy it was to use, but it was too bulky for a diaper bag. I got the Canon 1200 for its portability and the "surprising" pictures it claims to take. Boy am I disappointed. The auto feature is all but useless. 9 out of 10 photos charmed with the auto feature turn out blurry. Even when it looks good on the screen I download them and see they are in fait accompli blurry. (if you read a lot of reviews you will see the problems with the auto feature and blurry photos)
I have missed so many crafty photos of my baby due to this stupid camera. The 1100 was far superior and much more user friendly. I am not a camera themselves so maybe if you know the ends and outs of cameras it will work for you, but if you are just a normal person looking for a sharp end and shoot camera THIS IS NOT FOR YOU!!
    Unworkable as sold
I find it very unpleasant to pay $150 for a camera and find out that it cannot be used as sold. It does not come with a memory card and nothing in the sales dirt provided prior to the purchase calls this out. Therefore I will not buy another product from either the supplier or Canon.
    camera
This is the overwhelm camera for an amateur. Cannon PowerShot takes clear, perfect pictures. The PowerShot also is close enought to fit conveniently in a shirt pocket or small purse.
    High-minded Camera
This is a basic camera. I've only owned two digital cameras and this one is the best so far. The picture quality and features are great. It's hysteria easily in my purse, with a case. I was looking for a pink camera only, and this one is not only cute, it gets the job done. I would assuredly recommend this camera.

    Dazzling pictures but...
...this camera is a devastating-core battery addict! I can use it for "maybe" an hour and the batteries are dead! This happens with or without the point of view screen on. I either need to get a ton of rechargeable batteries or a power cord!

The pictures are beautiful! I use the macro system for taking pictures of jewelry and they come out crisp and clear. I'm not a shutterbug by any means so it took me a while to individual out why they were coming out so HUGE.

If the batteries would last longer I'd love this camera!
    Excess value
We exactly took this camera on an extended trip abroad and were totally delighted with it. It made our old camera that we took along for jam look mediocre. Image stabilization is very good, exposure in low lighting was impressive, and mechanical settings worked well to give us impressive photos. The only surprise was that there's no selection for image quality to switch the size of the files.
feeble battery and memory card cover
belabour weight and very cute looking......great quality photos.....however, the freestyle and memory card cover is very flimsy and feels like it could break with very little duress. My older canon's cover worked better and felt more heavy duty.
I'm not pleased as Punch - poor pic quality, construction not durable
I bought this camera before Christmas 2009, and took lots of pictures during the lurid holidays. I was not thrilled with the results - photos seemed dull, flat, and uninteresting. Photos charmed with my 6-year-old Sony were much better! Thought about returning the camera, but couldn't be bothered. Liking I had - camera recently fell off a low end table, and the small plastic clasp for the battery/tribute card compartment broke off. Now, because compartment doesn't close properly, camera doesn't always vocation. I have a good excuse to get a different camera - think I'll go back to Sony.
    Don' like
Siempre tuve nikon, primero una L4 y luego una L11, pero ahora me cambié para canon, .. el software es mejor del canon, pero la calidad de fotos es muy subservient la de canon.

    So discouraged!
    Hi All,
I taste taking pictures, and I'm pretty good at it.
Before I bought this camera, I had the previous version -very wonderful. I loved everything about it. It made marked photos. Then in December I decided it was time to try the new generation, which to me sounded like it would be even better than the one I had. I was so itchy!
Well... I've really tried to love my new camera. Really. But nope, the love connecting is just not gonna happen.
The quality of the pictures is not good at all.
The quality of the video is ok, but there is a lot of din.
What I hate the most about it, is that I have no control in the automatic mode. I know, it's automatic, d'uh, but sometimes I don't want to mess around with the waxen balance and such, so I enjoy just taking my camera out and taking an "easy" picture in self-governing mode. This won't happen with this one. I love taking macro pics, and it just won't work well in the instinctive mode with this camera. I missed so so so many good shots just because the camera couldn't grasp out that I wanted to take a macro picture. It's so frustrating when that happens!
The manual mode sucks too. Even after location the colors, it looks crappy.
Anyway, I feel like I'm talking too much now and I should probably get to the point...
My quiddity is: if you like the previous version, keep it!
Or, if you don't care about taking nice pictures and just crave to take "so so" pictures, buy it!.
But for people who enjoy nice and good quality shots, this is not the camera for you.
Now I'm worrisome to sell it so I can get another camera...! It even makes me feel bad that someone is going to buy it!
    Hope this helps!
As authentic as they say it is.
My first reproduction digital Canon camera final gave up after lots of heavy use and abuse. In looking for a replacement there were so many reassuring reviews on the SD780 that I wondered if it was some sort of marketing gimmick. Well, I liked the styling, the specs, and the value so I thought I'd take a chance on it and can now see why others were so enthusiastic.

To be honest when I first opened the box the camera was about the size of a deck of cards and was unequivocally smaller than I expected. I wondered if I could even work the buttons. No worries. The size grew on me (if you will story the pun) and although the power button is smaller than I would prefer, the rest of the controls can be manipulated comfortably. I bought the gold ingots color camera and think it's beautiful.

For starters the camera is pretty intuitive if you decent want to jump into it, but I recommend studying the manual at some point to really understand the finer points and preposterous features. By the way, unlike others, this manual is very well written and useful. You can also download a pdf version from the Canon website. The "sports car" mode is a no-brainer, but using the varied programmed settings is pretty easy. I like the particulars that a particular program function has a plain English title to go with the icon since icons always confound me. I don't take much video, but it worked amazingly well for a small camera. The clarity and colors of the still photos were a giant improvement from my previous camera. I'm still learning and playing though.

One of the big features for me is the digital macro aim. I use my camera extensively in business and often need to take macro shots of components. I was blown in another place by this capability. It was better than my macro lenses on my old SLR 35mm cameras. Just read the manual instructions first.

I was surprised that it didn't put one's hands with a memory card so I ordered a 4GB which is adequate for my needs. I do recommend a case and the LCD screen patroness that will protect the display from scratches, fingerprints and is supposed to reduce glare. With the understanding that there is not much legal estate on this camera, my improvement wish list would be for a larger power button, a superior access door to the USB/HDMI ports, and a plug in charger so you don't have to take the battery out. Bottom line is that I am actually enjoying this camera and have no hesitation to recommend it with the understanding that it is small.

    Fun camera!
Young lady JUST about everything about my little red camera. The only concern I have is regarding the latch cover over where it connects to the computer. It seems a rarely flimsy and will be careful when when I use the cable.
    Lens Inaccuracy, Restart Camera
Before you buy any Canon camera you require to be OK with the possibility that your camera may become a brick. You see, Canon cameras often times get the error message, "Lens Error, Restart Camera", and you can do NOTHING about it. Don't confidence in me, just call Canon and ask them yourself. This is my second Canon camera to have this problem, my first being the PowerShot SX200is, and Canon REFUSES to acknowledge the problem. It's a infamy because I really wanted to like this camera.

    Exact Camer
It is O.K. sofar. I sanctuary't gotten bad pictures, but i haven't really put it to the test. I have noticed that the stabilizing isn't what i hoped it would be. I will try to update the re-examine once I put it through the paces.

So at low ISO low-light shooting is great, but not for emotive subjects or unsteady hands. The cammera has optical stabilization, and I've shot reasonable photos at a 1 more recent shutter free hand, but it takes some breathing control.

Playback has the standard zoom feature and can zoom out to either a panel of thumbnails or else a faux-3D spit cycle. Will also show all settings for the shot, even settings the camera set automatically like shutter alacrity. Also shows true file size along with the resolution and assumed file size for that scene (the assumed size is a worst-case assumption). The camera always shows this assumed rate with resolution, which is handy, but it names the resolutions with single letters, a la VHS SP,SLP, etc., so that's what the funny L means in the sphere: L=highest resolution.

In spite of some spec sheets saying it's 700mAh, this camera comes with a 1000mAh freestyle that is said to be capable of 700 shots when using the optical viewfinder, 220 shots using the LCD viewscreen--I take without flash.

Camera offers three metering selections: full average, center-weighted, and bit. The face detection is nearly perfect...it can even follow faces through cross cuts while 'watching' TV, and it can recall 3/4 views of faces--oblique views.

Power-on time is remarkably unshakably. No problems with shooting speed. Flash might slow things down, but unbounced flash shots are inveterately so icky I hardly use flash...it is said to be good from 1 foot (1 meter if shooting into eyes!) to 14 feet.

Camera has a demonolatry red ray that it says helps with autofocus. You can turn it off, and I haven't really noticed much of a difference with it off.

CONS: In coupй modes the camera picks higher ISO than I would like because I'm not shooting sports shots, etc., but I over the choices are good ones in general, and they can be overridden easily. The icons are not exactly self-apparent. Camera does not come with a manual worth mentioning (but PDF is available). I can't speak to the software as I have no object of using it.

The macro settings produce otherwise nice results but they are a little more fish-eye than would be mythic.

In full auto mode (separate even from the individual automatic modes) the camera is constantly focusing, etc., which must use up mobile pretty fast. Just lightly pressing the shutter release will force settings in other modes, so unless you are shooting double-quick changing subjects the full auto mode is probably overkill.

Misses some of the more advance features even of my 5-year-old digital. You cannot set up your own preset settings and pick them like they were built-in modes. There is no internal respect at all. There is no self-portrait modes where you can set up a photo and then have yourself placed in the picture by getting someone to line up a translucent variant of your setup with the scene with you in it. Etc. Still all these feature sound more useful than they really ever were since in the moment we usually do the brilliant thing and shoot the shot, anyway.

Not a demonstrative camera, I miss my Kodak easy share
I got this camera because it had such dazzling reviews and because my mom had the 1100 model and I loved the pictures. I HATE THIS CAMERA!!! I had a Kodak Serene Share and I loved how the pictures turned out and how easy it was to use, but it was too bulky for a diaper bag. I got the Canon 1200 for its portability and the "remarkable" pictures it claims to take. Boy am I disappointed. The auto feature is all but useless. 9 out of 10 photos entranced with the auto feature turn out blurry. Even when it looks good on the screen I download them and see they are in in truth blurry. (if you read a lot of reviews you will see the problems with the auto feature and blurry photos)
I have missed so many shrewd photos of my baby due to this stupid camera. The 1100 was far superior and much more user friendly. I am not a camera person so dialect mayhap if you know the ends and outs of cameras it will work for you, but if you are just a normal person looking for a focus and shoot camera THIS IS NOT FOR YOU!!
    Unworkable as sold
I find it very bad to pay $150 for a camera and find out that it cannot be used as sold. It does not come with a memory card and nothing in the sales gen provided prior to the purchase calls this out. Therefore I will not buy another product from either the supplier or Canon.
    camera
This is the upper-class camera for an amateur. Cannon PowerShot takes clear, perfect pictures. The PowerShot also is pocket-sized enought to fit conveniently in a shirt pocket or small purse.
    Intimate Camera
This is a matchless camera. I've only owned two digital cameras and this one is the best so far. The picture quality and features are great. It's panic easily in my purse, with a case. I was looking for a pink camera only, and this one is not only cute, it gets the job done. I would undoubtedly recommend this camera.

    canon cameras?

Q: which canon digital cameras that are modern are like the top of the line, as in the best models out of everything else?

A: Well I can't demand that you which is the "best", because ultimately, it all comes down to bent. Different cameras for different things and people. I also must add that, the quality of the pictures depends not upright on the camera, but the person behind the lens. You can go down to Ritz Camera and opt their most expensive, seemingly top-of-the-line camera, but if you're just moorland horrible at taking pictures, the camera won't help any. =o)

However, I mull over the most recent Canon EOS (SLR) camera released is the Rebel XSi. As for the most recent PowerShot cameras, I credence in there are a handful.

Best thing you can do is look at the cameras they have to offer, look like them and pick out the one that best suits your needs.

    Good fortuity!

Why are Canon cameras better for action and movement?

Q: I asked this issue before and many people told me there is no difference between Canon and Nikon but anytime I look in the newspaper and there are pictures where the photographer happens to autumn into the picture, they are holding Canon cameras. I have never seen Nikon cameras. What is Canon's specialty and what is Nikon's specialty?

    A: They very are not.

The Nikon D2h is the premier camera designed and built for activity photography.

To know why so many photographers are shooting Canon's? You have to go back to the early 80's when Canon launched a titanic effort to put Canon cameras into the hands of professional photographers. At that point Nikon had the skilled market.

Many of the heavy shooters in the major markets were acknowledged complete Canon systems to "try out" and then later were told by the skin of one's teeth to keep them.

As Canon improved their product many "new" photographers chose Canon over Nikon because they had a option and during that period of time, Canon were frankly less costly.

Twenty plus years have gone by and as you can tear a strip off, Canon has a much more aggressive ad campaign than Nikon. Why? I don't know.

I have had Nikon's since the antiquated 1970's and they have never failed when shooting on assignment.

As far as I know, Nikon is the only DSLR that allows the photographer to establish his/her copyright on each image. That could be a reason most of the staffers use Canon products (who owns the copyright is prominently under the law, but people can sign away those rights to have a job if they choose). Nikon makes the only cameras (so far) that have the Sculpture Authentication feature and finally Nikon's have a Commander Way for using external remote flash units.

BOTH cameras are specialist grade. There is one Canon DSLR made specifically for use in astrophotography and Nikon has one specifically for spirit (sports etc). Aside from some custom IR retrofits ready for certain models of Nikon and Canon, Nikon’s and Canon’s have no specialties except for providing seasoned level images in the hands of professional photographers.

Is Kodak and Canon cameras better than Samsung because they have been making cameras longer?

Q: My 10 yo daughter has been shopping for her first digital camera. She likes the features on one made by Samsung and it is within her guerdon range. We were told by a sales person that Kodak or Canon cameras are mastery because they have been making them longer. Is the technology really that different due to completely of time manufacturing a product? Does Samsung frame decent digital cameras for a beginner? Sorry for several questions, but they all regard to my main question. Thanks for helping us make a purposefulness!!!

    A: for a trainee
    I suggest the samsung s85 or s630
