Considerable Idea!!!
It's a terrific leach holder. It easily holds all of my 55mm round filters and makes my filtered shots a draught. My only regret is that I didn't invent it.

This has to be the most retarded get I've ever made
I have surely no idea why I bought this -- it doesn't serve any real purpose. It's a solution searching for a unruly. It was bundled (but priced separately) with the Cokin graduated ND filters.
I can't see why anyone would ever use this cap. After all, dust is going to come in from the slots. And you're not positively protecting a $1,000+ lens.
The price dropped 50% right after I bought this futile, unused piece of plastic. Shame on me for buying for the sake of buying.

Works Virtuousness
Not a lot to say about this cap. It's funereal plastic and it fits in any of the four slots on my Cokin "P" filter holder (the regular holder - I haven't tried the considerable-angle holder). If you put it in one of the three filter slots, it's easily inserted and removed with one hand. It's held in consider by friction and doesn't fall out. If you put it in the slot designed for round filters (the slot closest to the lens), it's a stringent fit and it snaps in place. It takes two hands to remove the filter from that slot. The cap is square and is the same estimate as the Cokin filters. If you are using another brand of filter that is longer vertically, the cap won't cover the entire sift. But as another reviewer mentioned, this is designed as a lens cap, not a filter cap. Works good.
Another reviewer mentioned that his didn't look like the one in the photo. I upright received mine from Amazon seller "Spotlight Photo", and mine looks identical to the photo above. Not steadfast why his is different.

Cokin lens cap
The one I received does not look anything like the photo. In deed data I wasn't sure I ordered it. It does serve its purpose to protect the lens with the P title-holder mounted.

Protects lens
If you use the Cokin P series drain holder, this slides right in to protect your lens is you are moving the camera about and don't want to take the filter possessor off. Saves some time, and might save your lens.

Works but phrasing is reflected and captured in images
As another reviewer celebrated, this adapter works but the white print on the adapter ring reflects off the lens-fa side of the filters in bright sun light and so is captured in the pictures. Considering that, I have to wonder what kind of testing this goods went through before being released. I used a black permanent marker to color over the white lettering but it also reflects fire so care must be taken.

One big plan flaw
The Cokin 77mm Z series adapter rink works fantastically as advertised, and as the previous review said it does screw on and off very question. It is solid, does its job of holding the filter holder on, etc..
The problem comes when you take a photo of something lively (which is pretty much what these things are for) and you get a burry white arc from the reflection of the text "COKIN - Ø77 - th 0.75 - FRANCE" that is painted on the case of the adapter.
The only way to fix this is to paint over it, which is what I intend to do today. If I wanted DIY, I would've done it myself, so instead of rating 5 stars, I'm rating 2 stars. I'll be worthy of 5 if they ever fix this and send me one that doesn't have the problem.

Plain, good build.
It has worked beneficial for me in the field. Usually I'm breaking it out in a hurry during changing light conditions. In a pinch, it goes on speedily and smoothly without cross threading, then the Z holder pops right on, ready for filter.

My Third Cokin Surround
I got this 58mm encompass to fit my Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM. It fits perfectly with my 20-year-old Cokin filter holder. Some stuff b merchandise things don't change. I recommend the Cokin system for adaptability and creativity it allows. No need to buy a filter for each evaluate lens you own, just one of these rings. And Cokin's square holders allow for some creative possibilities that a stage screw on filter may not, such as gradient filters. Also, you can make your own "filters", a piece of plastic smudged with Vaseline, practice bokeh cutouts, etc.
One (usually small) issue with squre filters is that if you're using a gradient screen and if your lens turns while focusing then the gradient can become misaligned if you refocus. However, quiet a few lenses do not walk while focusing. If your lens does turn you may be able to focus and then switch your lens to vade-mecum and set your filter alignment. Anyway, just thought I'd point that out.

I purchased a Cokin ND8 screen and took it out for a check tour on our last blunder. I utilized it with the DA 16-45 and a astray-edge colander proprietor. Almost every draw has a reddish throw to it. The ones with the worst players also don't show EXIF info in Photo Browser although the info does show in PhotoMe. Am I doing something misuse or is the membrane strain broken? My graduated ND filters are OK. I purchased a Cokin ND8 separate and took it out for a check herd on our last slip.
