The m42 adapter fits of laughter my d100 and I know have use for my old Vivitar lenses. The only thing to remember is that some lenses only work on full handbook. Other than that works great.

Pentax to Nikon Lens Adapter
This adapter serves the principle and allows use of Pentax, etc screw type lenses to be used on my Nikon D80. This is very very integrity. The particular adapter I received is extremely tight fitting and requires a tool (pen verge, etc) to lock adapter into place and to remove. That is not so good but the adapter is worth the effort.
