Impatient Release
I'll never use an reasonable "all-in-one" tripod again! The quick release makes it easy to switch between Camera, Binoculars and Telescope. I was pleased as Punch to see the older model Manfroto is still supported.

Works with a small work
I ordered this to use on an old reins Bogen head with a red safety. It's the one Bogen said would work....it didn't. However, with a little filing/grinding, I was clever to get it to fit into the head like it should and now it works well. I'm not sure any of the 'old' type bases are available anywhere. I believe the basic was square, but this one is rectangular.

Works as intended
It works, and it's beautiful much the same QR plate that comes with my Bogen 488RC2 ballhead. I keep one QR plate on my camera, and one on my heavy tele lens. The [...] bucks worth tag seems to be reasonable now, it used to be higher.

Awesome time saver
A tripod is intrinsic for video to keep the horizon fixed while panning. Usually, getting the tripod level requires adjusting the size of the legs, a time consuming process. A ball head doesn't do the job because it locks in setting, so you cannot pan. This ball leveler does the trick neatly. Plunk the tripod down; it doesn't have to be very minute to level so long as it is stable. Unlock the ball leveler, use the bubble level, and secure it. Works great in just a few seconds!

Adept addition for Panoramas
I use this with my Manfrotto 055XPROB Pro Tripod Legs (Deadly) and my Manfrotto 488RC2 which has been replaced by the Manfrotto 488RC4 Midi Ball Head with RC4 Sudden Connect System (3271). I also use the Manfrotto 337 Hot Shoe Double Axis Bubble Upfront with this set up. I am very pleased. The one issue I had when I just had the head and the tripod was that you had to use the legs to perfectly devastate out the ball head, and in many cases this was very difficult to do. This tool makes it easy. You just set the legs so they are relatively close, loosen the handle on the 438, adjust the 438 till your ballhead is standing, then tighten down the handle and start shooting.
It makes it MUCH easier to level out. It does add some tallness to the setup (about 2 inches) and a little weight. I do not have exact weight numbers but I do not have an ultralight snare as it was before. I wanted it sturdy. I carry the whole unit strapped to the back of my Kata HB-207 GDC Hiker Bag for DSLR system or DV/HDV camcorder. (Insertrolly optional) and it fits well. Because I carry it in the center back position that this rucksack offers it does not throw the weight of center.
Overall, I am very pleased and highly suggest it if you intend to do a good bit of panorama shooting.

unusually for panoramics
Without a hitch levels the camera for panoramics. A little heavy, but really is necessary for the best photos.

All-round, Sturdy, Portable, but Best when Mounted
Almost everything that Manfrotto makes is sound and great. I like this camera flash bracket. It's versatile when using it attached to a camera only: the extendable arm allows you to sort your flash higher than any other flash bracket I've seen. Besides the arm extending up or down, the arm turns left and as the crow flies, as well as forwards and backwards. I'm not sure if that makes sense: it's like it swivels, but without a swivel seam. The rubber coated base of the arm is a good firm grip.
The only problem I found with this flash support is that with a heavy DSLR and a heavy lens and a good size flash, things utterly get very heavy and awkward. As long as you don't try to handle the combination with one hand or set it down on a table too quickly or without looking, you'll be delicate. This complaint is not Manfrotto's fault, but the fault of physics: I'm shifting the center of gravity of the locale set-up and throwing myself off. I don't use it like this often or for long, so it's not a big problem for me. I would imagine that walking around at a party taking pictures it might get wearing and get to focusing and all difficult after a while. But that's the nature of taking pictures professionally at parties and weddings regardless of which flick bracket you use. Still, don't resist the temptation not to wear your camera strap around your neck even though you may have a good grip on it. Also, take breaks--or promote weights regularly.
How I like to use this bracket is mounted on a tripod with a camera and a flash, or without a camera and mounted on a dainty stand as an extra external flash. It makes a great small boom arm for my flare. When you're away from home, a small boom arm like this is great to bring along. Plus it folds up winsome, tightly. So it doesn't take much room in a bag--not a camera bag, but a knapsack or something else.

Very ductile, but hard to get adjusted for faraway flash.
This one can be adjusted to allude to just wherever ya want, from out to the side or over head, but its hard to get it to point exactly straight ahead so its very skint to use with a better-beamer. Bulky and hard to pack as most of this kind of gear is.

Another potent product from Manfrotto...
A substantial flash bracket. Easily used both right and left handed. telescoping category allows flash to be much higher than other brackets while still being compact when folded.

reputable product for the price
I had not familiar a bracket before and wasn't sure whether I was going to find it useful or not, so I didn't want to pay a lot. I looked at some of the other brackets in this assess range and they felt flimsy and unreliable. The Manfrotto 233B, on the other hand, is a very solid grouping for a very good price.
On the down side, this would not be a great choice if you were going to want to shoot in vertical bearings often, or if you wanted to switch quickly from one orientation to the other. Yes, it is possible to twist the flash arm around so the flash is above the camera in vertical attitude. But it's awkward to do this. I have to sit down, hold the whole shebang very carefully, and it takes a couple of seconds. And it's very awkward to use the camera like this.
But if you're components to keep the camera in normal (horizontal) orientation, this bracket is a good way to do it.

How much is conformability worth?
For changeless situations, flexible camera positioning is everything. If you cannot get it on the proper spot, then the rig is worthless; it is that simple.
The Magic Arm undeniably helps you to find and hold that exact spot. The locking mechanism is excellent and very firm. Pair off it with a ball head and you have pretty much unlimited positioning for your camera or lighting.
Worth a bit more than other solutions out there, but you get what you pay for. I would not credit my camera equipment to other similar products.

Pleasant to have
I don't use it often, but it is Cyclopean to have when you need it. It has a very sturdy build quality as can be expected from Manfrotto (IMHO). A ladylike addition to your camera bag, and well worth the money.

Pricy, but the superior available
This factor is the gold standard for super-stable photography clamps. It will clamp down with enough force to pound walnuts without causing you to worry you're going to break it by applying too much force. The v-shaped outsert is an especially nice touch for clamping to boards/tables and the like. I never go on a location germinate without one.
The downsides: It's rather heavy, it doesn't provide any articulation once clamped, and it's a bit on the pricy side (though totally quality it).

one of my largest friends
I have tolerant of these things since 1993. I have a bucket of them for various rigs of one sort or another. They simply work and are engineered spotlessly.
I tried the knock-off brand, comes close, but this is still the one i rely on day-in and day-out. Definitely worth the assess when it comes to my gear teetering 50 feet off of the ground.

Bogen/Manfrotto 681B Monopod Review & Buying Guide
As the 681B is targeted towards professionals or avant-garde enthusiasts the segment is built like a tank, The anodized aluminum provides the monopod with a firm note and matchless operation gladden. The component does crave a bit burdensome compared to the cheaper monopods, but again the ruggedness that the smelly erect provides is a acceptable pursuit off. The 2.3 inch camera stage provides a very easy and large fit for most camera heads that you would value of connecting to the monopod. The dual 1/4-20"-3/8" camera bollix up ensures compatibility to amicable of part that you be after, The foam grasp provided on the monopod provides a outfit clasp, even under to a certain steamy position. The 3 division legs can be adjusted with the provided 45 decidedly go mad fix system. Though the freak away system may not be as expert as the falsify-candid smartness of some masterly monopods, it still does get the job done without much hassle. Once you start using the become angry control system, you will speedily get adjusted the subtleties of using it. The monopod sections business tensely in conjunction with the freak out hook system, however with every so often old-fashioned they might get movable! There is also a tightening pace that is supplied with the monopod which can fix this muddle in the large run.
I have been using the item for over 2 months now under good-looking rigorous state of affairs and the monopod has held up very well. The rubber clasp provided on the monopod leg is one of the meritorious regions of the part that as a rule attrition out the earliest. In the envelope of the 681B the rubber tenure seems to over b delay up very well and can very last most photographers a yoke of years. Handling a monopod during wet situation could be a agony due to absorb issues, but I've faced no such problems so far. The froth clutch on the monopod does industry as advertised and the monopod maintains its solidity with its pinnacle worry. In in truth, the item is absolutely effective of holding more than the 26.4-purge uttermost weight. Also the monopod can stretch to a climax of upto 63.4-inches, though for a middle built child say 5'5 or 5'9 the monopod does not demand to be widely spread to that tallness. Using the monopod under boggy status and later washing them off did not call any problems with liquid move of the leg sections.
