Kodak Camera Adapter
This adapter works intimate with my Kodak P712. It connects my zoom lens to my camera. Now I can zoom in on the deer that are grazing in our fields. And the glitzy trees across the rolling hills.

P850 Holder? You'll want this.
This adapter is Required for use with either the Comprehensive Angle or Telephoto accessory lenses. It can also be used with all standard 55mm Filters and Hoods.
Use with a UV/Haze trickle when shooting outdoors to improve your pictures and seal dust away from your lens.
Note that depending on what you use with it... The claque may not work with the flash built the camera and some Shoe mount flashes. (Depends on the type and settings of some hasten units.)
Some accessory combinations will not work well at full zoom or full wide lens settings.
When using this with any supplemental... You need to reprogram the Focus system so that all focusing is done Thru The Lens. (TTL Focus.) This means you have to dig in the camera settings and find the Frill Lens item and turn it on. For some reason Kodak didn't put this with the rest of the Focus controls.
These limitations address to most lenses, hoods, and filters, you will use this adapter to mount. (Accessory lenses and hoods frequently block the harbour hole used by the auxiliary focus system.)

Kodak never dissappoints
The adapter for Kodaks P712 telescopic and encyclopaedic angle lenses is easy to use and has a nice sleek look, making the lens appear "one" with the camera. I enthusiastically reccomend both the camera and the lenses, they have made an incredible differance in my pictures. What I like best about these Kodak products is that they are very easy to use, the most skilfully point and shoot digital cameras out there as far as ease and quality.

Not what I expected.
I expected more of a dissimilarity in the zoom capabilities than what I have seen so far. There were no instructions with it at all and so I basically went with other reviews that I had read before I bought mine. It took forever the first age to get the threads on the converter to thread on to my camera, but it gets a little easier now each time. I guess I call more time to see how I really feel about it, but at this point I am not impressed at all and wish that I hadn't bought it.

Not a careful telephoto lens
I own the Kodak EasyShare Z1012, and I detestation this telephoto lens. You absolutely must have the camera on a tripod to get any kind of decently clear and focused by no chance, and even then it is not perfectly focused. I read mixed reviews on this lens and took a chance...and I don't like this upshot. I wish there were other choices of lens companies who make accessories for this camera, but unfortunately, as far as I know, this is it.

A Great Enhancement
I picked this lens up to boost waxing the optical zoom capabilities of my Kodak Z812IS for taking photos of landscapes and detailed photos of properties I survey for purchase. The results are incredible. I have been able to take much better pictures of landscapes and scenery as well as take photos so precise of buildings that to get the same results without the lens would have involved climbing scaffolding to get close enough. This is a fantastic upgrade to the Kodak Z812IS and I favourably recommend it to owners of the Z-IS line of cameras.
Some notes:
The edges can come out blurry if shooting situation are not optimal. Getting used to manually adjusting focus helps here.
The lens adapter and lens can cut the corners of the draw. To over come this just zoom in with the cameras zoom feature. After all, you needed to get closer to the affair anyway.

To one side angle lens useless
I found the inappropriate angle lens useless on the Kodak z712(612 and 812 also). You have to zoom in to negate seeing the lens adapter. In the end the zoom with the as much as possible angle lens produces less of a FOV than the standard camera lens. I have had wonderful results with the telephoto lens but not these.

lens for z812is
I bought this lens for a Kodak Z812. When I first bought this lens it came with the reverse adaptor. I mailed the lens and adaptor back and they sent me an adaptor and lens that work. There is some in quod of the adaptor that shows on the corners of the picture but other than that it does work. The one star I gave it was after the first execution. With the correct adaptor I would give it a 4 star. I can't seem to edit my star rating.

Profit, but pointless
I'll give this 3 stars because, like all Opteka lenses, this one takes a accurate photo. However- what's the point? They say it's for the Z612 which means you need the lens adapter. Anyone who has the lens adapter knows, you necessary to zoom in about 2/3 of the way to get rid of the "tunnel vision" created by the adapter. So why would you want to zoom in to use a lens that acts as if you're zooming out? Why not objective remove the lens adapter and lenses and use the camera solo?

Using tele lens w/ Kodak Z8612 IS - The Photo Forum - Photography ...
I recently purchased a 3.5x telephoto lens to use with my Kodak Z8612 IS. My ungovernable is I am having dissatisfaction getting my excuse focused. I use the lens mostly for sporting events. Any suggestions for guide settings? I'm not too familar with all the industrial aspects since I commonly no more than use the significance & whiz vehicle settings. Thanks in help. There are wealth of movables reasons why pro sports shooters use cameras and lenses that bring in as much as hand-me-down cars. Shooting sports is unbelievably nagging on the materiel. Stressful to do it with a spotlight & fly digi-cam may be war an uphill engagement. But of routine, your freshness and strength has a lot to do with it...it's not all in the paraphernalia. If it's a fit anything typeface lens attachemnt that happens to fit your camera. You may have exhausted $60. Lens attachemnts can be encomiastic and usefull if they are expected for the lens they are to be tempered to with. But unfortunately there are tons of for twopence fit-all lenses out there that are nothing but penurious refuse. They are not engineered to fit a definitive lens other than sieve or fixing bulk. They do no indicated designs so an attachemnt works with a identified with lens. So, you get bad optics. If you have not had it too protracted I would repress on returning it. It is a Zeikos lens and as far as I recollect it's not specifically made for the Kodak. But even on Kodak's web instal the like-minded lens they advocate is from a 3rd fete and not nearby for cut-price on their put. Sooo... honest looking for any info & advise I can get (chiefly since I'm new @ this). The scene I ordered it from offered to swap for a 2.5X thinks it may be too much enlargement??? I'm succeeding to try it with a tripod this weekend to see what happens. Camera does have semblance stabilization but I'm point of view it may not drudgery as well with this much zoom. Any thoughts?
