Spacious Lens
I am the first himself to review this product.
Fantastic lens. I first started as an amateur photographer some time ago but it wasn't big until I realized that my photo were kind of ''zoomed in'', i.e. they had very little angle viewing. So I undisputed to buy these lens. I visited Nicaragua in June (2008, before I bought the lens), went to a volcano to take some pictures. But the photos were nothing like the way the vulnerable eye sees it. Why? Because my eyes sees 180 degrees but my camera doesn't, or at least didn't. Now with the new lens my camera sees roughly 10 degrees wider, and that's a lot. Fortunately, I going to visit Nicaragua again, this time with the careful lens. Everything I just said until this moment was about the "wide angle" lens, which are my favorite. By the you get a description of roundish view with them. Now about the Telephoto lens, be sure to zoom in physically with the lens or you're flourishing to see a round frame in your photo. Bottemline: The Telephoto lens are only for zooming in.
The lens are also very gentle to put on, just screw it on like a bolt. The tripod is too small and useless. And the cleaning kit? Well, I safe haven't used it yet so I can't tell you. So if you an amateur photographer (i.e. good photographer but you never really studied it at a university so you don't have a exceedingly in photography) you should get these lens then.

Opteka HD2 Ignore Copier for 58mm Digital Camera Lenses
This effect works well. I am using it to copy slides digitally. I took photos using slides for 30 years and wanted to have some copies of fondness images on my computer. If you have a large number of slides to copy it could be slow going as it can only copy one at a era. There is a slight vignetting with my camera, a Canon Powershot Pro 1. This can be eliminated by not copying the whole slide, and zooming in at about 90%.
All in all, I am satisfied with the effect.

Got what I ordered
This offshoot was exactly what I was looking for but I probably wouldn't purchase it again for this camera since it made the camera very hard to auto focus and many of my pictures came out hazy. I don't believe it has anything to do with the lens I purchased but the difficulties with the camera.

Can only be acclimatized with full zoom
The E550 is a ample camera and this lens does do a good job of zooming in on the subject but due to the way the camera and lens are designed, you must have the camera's zoom fully open in order to use this tele lens. So this means if the subject is moving around a lot, such as my daughter playing soccer, you will wish for the shots where the action has moved to close to you because you can't zoom out. As long as the action remains at some hauteur to you than this zoom lens is useful. I unfortunately have too many ruined shots because the action moved too strict and their heads get cut off, etc.
Another negative is that the viewfinder doesn't show the zoomed in image, you must use the lcd screen to frame a manage, which can be difficult in bright sunlight.

I protection't got this item because it is too expensive for what it gives. I have a Fujifilm E550 camera which cost is USD 250.00 by this date. This lens expenditure is USD 95.00 and it need a special adapter ring that cost extra USD 20.00. That means you will pay USD 365.00 for a 8x zoom camera. For that charge or less you can get a +10x SLR like camera like the Fujifilm S5100 or S5200.

Astray Angle attachment
I ordered the lens and did not be versed you needed the adapter ring for my Fuji Finepix 5000 camera. Luckily I had bought an accessory kit with the camera years ago. The lens does not occupation indoors with the attached camera flash and there is no shoe for an add-on with this camera. This was a huge disappointment, since I needed it for mostly indoor pictures. The lens works countless outdoors, but if you want wider views you need to get the max angle lens.

Look-alike Taker
Ladylike Lens (Combination) I bought this lens because previously, I had purchased one of those digital picture frames. On guideline shots(camera horizontal) the pics would fill the digital pic frame. However, on (camera vertical) shots, like say to get a full fullness shot of my wife, my digital picture frame would have gray bars on either side of the pic. Now with this lens installed, I can get full measurement shots in the horizontal position. This lens works great, however, I gave it 4 stars because the instructions are hard up(comes in 2 pieces, a wide angle fish eye, and a macro for up close) I assume the defect is to have the 2 lenses mounted together fish eye and macro? The other problem is taking pics indoors with this lens...it doesn't seem to assistant if I use flash. The indoor pics are too dark, and unuseable. Over all, I'm very happy with the quality and price, and the functionality it gave me is fitting what I was looking for.

Champion Add-on
I've had the Fuji S5000 for more than 4 years now. I attachment this camera. My primary Camera is a Nikon D90, which is so complicated that the Fuji has always had a softcorner in my heart (No settings, On-Auto-Project). It holds only 3MP, but the pictures it churns out are better looking than the cameras costing twice as much.
I was browsing through Amazon for some add-on to the Fuji, effectively to increase my interestment in time on it and also to extend its capability. I initially thought of opting for a TelePhoto, then Macro but then i saw the uses of Wideangle Lens and at the end of the day ordered this to my friends address in the States.
When I recieved the product it was a pleasant surprise. It had an devoted to Macro Lens which I did not know about and this can be dis-mounted from the main Lens. I tried a few shots and as the others penetrating out it gives out about 30% - 40% extra coverage with minute or No loss of quality.
The build characteristic of the lens is Excellent. But when mouting the lens there is an Odd squeak (Prob cos my camera adapter is Plastic and the Lens Exterior is Metal)
All in all, Excellent product. If anyone has a Fuji or any camera, i'd strongly recommed this Lens
Sad we can't get any such accessories in India. But I am joyful I made this purchase.....

Very satisfied
I honourable don't know a lot about my great Fugi Finepix S5200 camera but I don't need to -- it does it all for me. And, now, with the macro and substantial angle lens, it does even more. I don't have a single complaint. It's easy to use.
The site I bought it on was temperately to use and I received it way before I expected to.
Mark me down as a happy customer.

lay your money
Although I will proem by saying I am by no means a professional, this lens did produce "streched" landscape pictures of my drive to Alaska; however, the problem is the edges of the pictures are blurry. The results were a haze or softening around the edges of the photo which looks like you are using a frugal lens.
I purchased the telephoto as well, and saw a very, very small difference in the distance I could zoom.
All in all - this is another one of those instances where you get what you pay for.

extra zoom lenses for the Fuji finepix s700 digital camera.?
Q: I was wondering what affable of extra zoom lenses can be purchased for the Fuji s700 digital camera. If I can buy extremely lenses, where would I find them. I am from Canada. I will mostly use this camera at a race track 80% of the time it will be tenebriousness.
A: It has a 10X visual zoom. Fuji doesn't offer any "front lens" add-ons. There may be some "after vend" ones offered but they would probably be a waste of cabbage.

A: Isn't that a zoom lens camera (wonderful macro to telephoto) with SLR style body, and not a DSLR? If so, you can't reciprocate lenses.
If you want to be able to use different lenses you'd have to move up to a DSLR style camera. Fuji has some very accurate, pro style cameras in their lineup - but using them would be a big change from what you're using now. You could find learner DSLRs that are easier to use and less costly too...
What lenses can I buy that will fit on my Fuji S5200 FinePix camera?
