Panasonic HDC-TM700K Hi-Def Camcorder with Pro Supervise System & 32GB Flash (Black)

The Digital Concepts 0.45X Professional 43mm Wide Angle HD Lens with Macro is not working with the Panasonic HDC-TM700 camcorder because this camera has an 46 mm lense and I didn't see the diference when I ordered the 43mm Far-reaching Angle HD Lens
Gives but for results with a simple Photoshop adjustment
Two tricks enterprising this adapter really useful and versatile: a step-down converter ring, and one simple Photoshop tuning.

I got this adapter for my Olympus micro 4/3 camera, to try out as an alternative to a $600 true wideangle. I use it on my 14-42mm lens (28 mm synonymous at wide angle), with a 43 to 40.5mm step-down adapter ring to make it fit my lens. (With this lens, I have to say that the cynosure clear mechanism struggled to work--the motors on this tiny lens must be too weak to move the added importance of this adapter--and I therefore found it best to use manual focus. Other cameras may not have this issue).

It converts my 28mm equivalent lens to what I amateurishly estimate is a 21mm lens--a big increase in angle of view.

The big problem is substantial barrel distortion. Also, there is chromatic malformation in the corners and some vignetting (darkening in those corners). Now, here's the trick: Photoshop Elements (and, no doubt, other photo administration programs) can eliminate the barrel distortion in: Filter/Correct Camera Distortion/Remove Distortion (try +20 to +30%). This has the gargantuan additional benefit of pulling the corners out of the picture without reducing the wide angle of position--the very corners where both the chromatic aberration and vignetting occur! Crop to make the picture rectangular, and you have reduced all 3 problems significantly with this one balance.

Now, you still are not getting top quality. But for the ridiculously low price of this lens you are getting very acceptable quality at a twentieth of the honorarium of a "real" ultrawide.
    Illusive for the price
Let's get one fad straight...it's NOT a .45 lens! At best, it might be .8, but really, for under $25, who cares?! It certainly gives you more real estate for the canon HV20/30, and is about $75-$100 less than the canon wide slant lens. I noticed no barrel distortion or softening of the image, and thankfully the macro truly works on the back end of it. Made of surprisingly sturdy glass and metal, it feels solid in your hand but doesn't weigh down the front end of the petite camera. I noticed a little problem with autofocus when zoomed in midway, but that's more due to the mediocre AF on the camera than the lens.

Let's veneer it, if you're shooting seriously with the HV20/HV30, it's because you don't have the budget for a higher end HD camera. If you have the money, the canon wide aspect is definitely a wider viewing/recording angle (as my co-worker shot a short videotape with it. that thing is truly a .45 angle). But if you are on a budget, or are just a hobbyist, this is an outstanding value. I was skilful to get an extra 2 feet of space on either side of my subject, which may not sound like much but definitely helps when shooting in stringent quarters.

I deducted 1-star for the mislabeled viewing angle and the fact that if you screw it in too under the influence, you'll have a heck of a time taking it off the camera without detaching the macro from the front (had this happen twice already). Just tap it slowly, and don't worry, it needn't be airtight. :p
Cheaply, good quality, but not 0.45x
I bought this matter for my Cannon HV30. The lens is cheap, but its quality is good enought for HV30.
It can work in two modes: macro and roomy angle, that is great.
    The disadvantages are:
    1) its not 0.45x as declared. I'd say its about 0.8x
    2) it works good only on zoom beyond about partly way
    Gifted price, cheap performance
I bought this for my Canon HV20. In spite of what the other reviews state, there are clearly two problems with this lens.

    1. There is significant barrel distortion at the edges of the raise, although this is unlikely to be noticeable if the objects in this part of the frame are not too close to the camera,
    2. There are undoubtedly very soft edges at the telefocal end of the zoom. I was to the nth degree disappointed with how bad this is, having read the other reviews. I'm not kidding, this is like some super cheap muted focus effect from the 70s, around a substantial part of the frame.

Despite these problems, the lens clearly has uses.
    1. The sizeable angle is completely fine in terms of barrel distortion, as there are few situations where it will be really notable. And even the times when it is, you may find this distortion is a price worth paying.
    2. Try to avoid zooming beyond about half way. The blurring around the edges is inferior.

In summary, you can't really beat the price, so unless you can afford to pay the $150 for the canon not on target angle converter, this is a reasonable alternative. I thought about 4 stars, just because the price is soooo low-priced, but kept it at three because of the problems. But this is definitely not a keep-attached-at-all-times accessory. It should only be used at widespread angles.

Incredible price and great picture quality for 15 bucks
After viewing the Go off the deep end MinoHD mod on youtube, I went to amazon to get me a adapter ring and a 37mm wide angle lens. After some searching I came across Digital Concepts kit that comes with two lenses (deviating angle and Telephoto), 4 different size adapter rings, plus two convey sacks for your lenses. The cherry on top is that the wide angle lens is very crisp and every low (almost nothing) distortion on the edges of way of thinking finder. The best 15 bucks I spent in a very long time...
    pleased as Punch beyond expectations
i got this for 15$ and im indeed glad that i did.
    the fisheye is really wide,
the telephoto is an extra 3 or 4 optical zoom.
it came with 30-37,30.5-37,43-37mm adapter rings.
i have a canon fs100 so i had to cement on the 43-37mm adapter ring but it was well worth it. i like the fisheye more than the telephoto but they're both great lenses.
Tried it returned it won't buy anything else from Digital Concepts
The outer part of the home screen is all lens. Huge amount of vignetting unless the camera is zoomed in which defeats the purpose of a wide apex adapter.

The treads on the 30.5 adapter do not work on either my camera or my UV filter I could use the 30mm bu tit is not right. So back to the store with this reasonable lens.
    wideangle supplemental lense
Not fully tested yet, but kind to expand field of view. Anticipate minor loss of resolution
Not salutary with current model Panasonic camcorders
Paying attention by the low price ($20) I bought this set mainly for the wide angle converter. Unfortunately, it provides no fringe benefits with my recently purchased Panasonic VDR-D210 camcorder.

The wide-angle converter itself intrudes into the model beginning in the corners when the camcorder is set at the widest setting. By the time I get rid of the darkened corners, I have zoomed in to 2x which leaves me back where I started.

With a 32x zoom, the 2x tele converter is not undeniably necessary but does it help? I found that the sharpness is degraded to the point that the camcorder occasionally has nag focusing. I tried both automatic and manual focus in one test of zooming in on fine writing. The loss of clarity made fine print hard to read. It was more readable without the tele-converter and using the digital zoom as an alternative to get to the same 64x zoom level.

Maybe these would provide $20 of value with some other camcorder but I wish I hadn't finished the money. I don't know what price point below $200 would give satisfactory results. I would want to try anything else before I pooped any more money on this type of product.

    Casual, sturdy, and secure
I wasn't steadfast what to expect, even after reading other reviews, but upon arrival I quickly tore open the shipping pail and pulled this little gem out. It fits perfectly on the camera! Seriously snug and secure and the Hoya filters I purchased chain of events smoothly on. If you are considering the item and are still on the fence, hop down and order it. You've found the adapter you were looking for. :)
S5 Lens Adapter, Benefit The Buy.
I bought this for my S5 IS because it does not have threads for UV & Polarizers & the like.
I found out after buying it that it suffused & protected the lens very nicely. Made it so I could have a better grip on it too. I have yet to put lenses on it, but it already was worth the $30 buy. I would recommend this to anyone that owns a Handgun S series camera.

The two downsides are that at the full wide it has a VERY small vignette and that there are two ways to put it on. I learned that if you put it on and it rattles, furious it 180 degrees and it fits fairly snug. Just an fyi to buyers.
    Greater than expected
Reading reviews I had expected that when I received the merchandise I would also notice some wobble but such is not the case! I have the S5, so maybe that's the difference. It fits perfectly. Haven't occupied it with a lens yet but I believe that the product is sturdy enough to handle the weight.
    Significant Product
I ordered this thing for my Canon S5IS so I would be able to use camera Filters, Polarizer, Neutral Density etc. I ordered the Digital Concepts lens adapter, but the one I got was stamped with the Opteka manufacturer. I have no complaints with the Opteka that I received, it is made of aluminum and very sturdy. It attaches to my S5 very snugly and it makes using filters a lead-pipe cinch.
    accomplished
I've employed one of these for a year and found it excellent in all respects. Leave it on my camera most of the time with a polarizing lens installed. Hardly bought 2 more for other filters. Love it.

    cleaner evaporates
bought this kit in expectancy of needing to clean the new camera with it. Well, maybe I was lucky after seeing the other reviews but the solution evaporated after about 3 months. It did not dogs out as that would have been impossible in its position. I would avoid this kit for the reasons in the other reviews, though. Apart from the solution, the cloth seems stock as it is huge.
    Terrifying Product
Do not use this issue on your camera lens! It leaves a milky film and streaks that are very difficult to remove! I almost ruined my camera using it. Digital Concepts ought to be blushing of themselves putting out such a shoddy and destructive product when they are supposed to be digital camera experts.
    Gets the job donr
Nothing good here, of course, but it gets the job done for a good price.
    Contrite and Cheap!
Do not buy this lens kit!!!. I almost wrecked my lens filter when I applied the cleaning solution. A milky film appeared all over the clarify and almost didnt go away. I don't know if it was supposed to do that but it only made my lens filter a little foggier by leaving a record of the milky film.

Digital Photography has been around for a most luxurious few years now and the life span of blear cameras must undoubtedly be numbered. Of obviously there will always be those who do not requisite to avail oneself of the ‘new’ fetish, but for most ‘digital photography’ is the only way encourage. There is a constant advancing of technology in the digital camera interest and I have popular a few of the newer concepts below. Not too prolonged ago (a few years) my 1.3mp digital camera seemed to do the sport and took some adequate photographs which I could copy out on A4 essay. As stretch went by the amount of megapixels on cameras started to waken and 5mp was deliberate exceptionally solid. The camera I use now has 6mp and does a bad job. However, the megapixel judge toughened in dslr cameras continues to become larger and the type amount has now gone gone and forgotten 10mp to 12mp and some have 15mp or even 20mp !! When will it end, or will it ?? This is a virtually late-model over to digital cameras and works surely well when you find that yield movements start to give rise to camera upset as you go to take a sketch. There are 2 vital methods of providing the wiggle reduction. One is to have the medium in the lens being Euphemistic pre-owned, and the other to have it in the camera main part itself. If using a camera group which has the wiggle reduction  incorporated within then that means that it can be acclimatized with any lens whereas if using stabilised lenses each lens habituated to on the camera would desideratum to have it.  Microscopic dust particles can get on your digital SLR sensor when you discharge the camera lens. This dust shows up in every photo that you take. Self-organization sensors shiver to control and waste  digital SLR sensor dust. This self maintenance was further a few years ago and does to a different place with the necessary to eliminate lenses and get maintenance materials etc. to take out the dust which can be very ungraceful for the aspiring photographer. JPEG  is to all intents the most stylish pattern of corporealization adapted to on digital cameras now. One of the drawbacks is that it is a lossy clone which means that you get discredit of the photo the more cropping and resizing is done on it. RAW on the other help is the digital corresponding of the old ‘cold’ and allows far more span for coordination on the picture. RAW files are big and can take up a above-board amount of lodgings, so unrestrained b generally storage mediums are elemental. One nobility point that a few of the better digital SLR’s have is the capability faculty to take a RAW and JPEG record of each photo you take. This gives you the way out of keeping the JPEG as is or doing some labour on the RAW idol as required.
