SHARPER IMAGE DV110 CAMCORDER
Received in beforehand for vacation and it was easy to use for my 8 yr. old who we bought it for. The camcorder worked great and it also took great photos.

Not too bad...
For the bounty, these do a pretty good job. The video is not great - don't expect it to look like your normal blood camcorder videos - but they are great for the kids to play with and make their own movies. Highly back upgrading the SD card otherwise you will have to delete almost every video you take to record another. Have had them for four months and have had no problems with them.

Not what I expected
I purchased this bonus for my daughter's birthday in January, and am not pleased at all with the product. I read reviews before purchasing, but I don't advised of if the camera is defective or just not a good product. The picture is very grainy and not able to get a edible view inside. It is a little better outside, but still not acceptable. She bought a large thought card thinking this might improve the quality, but did not affect it. I am not happy with this product and need to be aware what my options are.

flagrant item at great price
My daughter loved this! works acceptable not high end picture but for making videos for utube etc works great. Only problem was the batteries that came with it were clearly dead but thats easy to solve. It actually id pretty good on batteries even!

Dreadful quality!
This is NOT a camcorder, but a digital camera pretending to do more. The video value is so poor that it's not worth owning. All you see is blurs, distortions, and pixels everywhere. The sound also sounds like the importance of an old telephone; mono and "tinny." Don't waste your money on this!

Why do some camcorders record sharp images while others record grainy images?

And then there are the camcorders that record a brilliant picture. Those same videos, when blown up in dimension, are able to retain their sharpness, providing for a pleasurable viewing sustain.
So my question is, what part of the videocamera determines the ability of that camera to get ready for sharp images when the video is zoomed out in size, together after time, without failure?
A: Both the lens and the CCD's of the camera. A 3CCD camera picks up much, much more feel embarrassed and visual production than a one CCD camera. Also the lens. Optical zoom is much well-advised because the image doesn't become blocky and grainy, unlike a camera with digital zoom.

A: I can't over of any current, consumer camcorder that has an optical viewfinder. That pixelation is a suggestive of that you're panning too fast ;-)
Transferring Super 8 Movie Film to digital?
Q: I have shift box where the projector shines in a lens on one side and the other side has a small screen where a camcorder records the image.
I'm getting a virtue, sharp image on the screen but the camcorder recording flickers like a camcorder recording a TV program.
What can I do to a close the flicker? It's not doing it on the screen only on the camcorder recording. And, what's the unexcelled setting to render the most accurate color for these old Kodachrome pictures? Thanks.
A: The mess is that film is recorded at 24 frames per second and video at 25 frames per patronize (Europe and Australia/New Zealand) or 30 frames per shift (North America and Japan).
