Major Camcorder and Great Company to Deal With
I had a AH151 and it malfunctioned. I have a gathering of Hi8 tapes so needed a cam where I can continue to use them. I saw the AH150 from Classic Camcorder and the price was cheaper than the Certified repair facility to fix the 151. There was a slight delay on shipping but the Company notified me at once and it was resolved and shipped. It arrive in quick time. For the price they threw in a few extras, a splendid camera case, an EasyCap adapter to connect to the computer, and a lens cleaning kit. I tested the cam lining and outdoors and it works perfectly.
I give Classic Camcorder an A+ for Service and Delivery.

Still not bad
I have had this camera for nearly 4-1/2 years now, and it's still a good product. The only complaints I have are that (1) it doesn't connect to the computer in any way, and there are no longer products out that will alter the RCA cables into a USB input. (2) The battery will not hold any type of charge whatsoever anymore - I have to mention the camera into a wall to be able to use it, and replacement batteries are near impossible to find at ridiculous prices. From Sharp entirely it's a $50 battery. I managed to find one at Fry's for about $30, but it's still NiMH and I would like to find a lithium-ion so we don't have this problem again. Other than that, it's a wonderful camera, and I naturally love it.

Everything I Wanted In A Camcorder
I wanted a credible, simple to use, high quality camcorder at a good price and the Sharp VLAH150 so far has met all my criteria. You can't go out of order buying this camcorder.

Two words to describe assuage of use--Point and Shoot !!!
My old lady and I looked at many camcorders and she instantly liked this one. I asked her why and she said the design(non-flip 3" divide) and the main reason was that there wasn't a million buttons all over it. Buttons scare the average actually. Once we started using it she told me thats why she would not use our old one. This model is very simple and gives new meaning to 'characteristic and shoot'. Personally I like lots of features and boy, does this camera have features! Letterbox recording, angry and white, sepia, strobe, photo shot, pic-in-pic, awesome zoom. All this and lots more!! You can't rout it for the price (...).

took some getting acclimated to to
This is my transfer camcorder, and it did take some getting used to. I guess I was used to my older one, even more so than I thought. Once I played around with this camcorder for a team a few hours I got the hang of it and started to really enjoy it! I love the photo shot purport, as well as the fact that I can shoot in black and white. At first, I missed my old camcorder, but now I love this one!

DOES NOT Hold off A CHARGE
THE Freestyle WOULD NOT HOLD A CHARGE AT ALL EVEN AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO CHARGE IT OVERNIGHT AS THE PACKAGE INSTRUCTED. THEREFORE, I HAVE SINCE RETURNED THE Battery-operated SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED DIRECTLY FROM AMAZON.COM AND HAVE REQUESTED A FULL REFUND. I DO NOT RECCOMMEND THAT ANYONE PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.

Battery-operated not reliable
Not very exhilarated with this product! We bought this battery to replace the original Sharp BT-H32U battery as we wanted to use the camcorder during our abroad trip. It seemed to charge OK but once we started using the camcorder in Australia (where it was winter) it started functioning strangely.
At times it would show flavourless battery, then show full and at times switch itself off. Often the charge would not last very long at all compared to the original battery. As a outcome of doing one or more of these functions in quick succession, it jammed the tape in the camera and nearly frenzied us all the video we had taken. Luckily I managed to remove the tape without breaking it, but from that time we against the camera sparingly and did not switch it on/off too often when we did use it.
Overall, I do not believe it is too much to ask that something as simple as a camcorder battery be trusted - which this one was not.

Propitious Noise
I received this camcorder for Christmas. I have always had a rumble coming from the inside of the camcorder. In the beginning the noise wasn't that noticeable. But over time the alarums had gotten louder. I used the recommended cleaning tapes, but didn't seem to work. According to the enchiridion, there's the possibility of the video head being worn. The repair will cost to much to fix. I have a friend with the same camcorder, and hers is penurious also. The only difference between the two, is mine will still record, but the noise is louder, and hers won't record at all. There are a lot better choices than this camcorder.

Titanic for basketball games!

Cold Cam
This camera is so fun, not to upon affordable! It is light, durable (Ive even dropped it a few times) and totally easy to use. I take it everywhere. Be sure to get supernumerary batteries though because they wear out before you know it.

Does not fit the HDR XR-150
Bought this radiogram based on all the positive reviews. Shipping was very fast, and got the cable as described. Note, however the illustration shows a grey/black plastic coated cable, and you'll get a silver cable with a empty remove coating on it. Not a huge deal, but be aware that you may not get exactly what is pictured. Please note, however that while this is described as a wire for Sony camcorders, it does not fit any of the ports on my HDR XR-150, so it is useless in that aspect. I have contacted the supplier to see if they have a radio that will work with my camcorder, so will update review when their feedback is received.

Righteous what the Dr ordered. Took care of all the problems with getting the JVC camcorder talking and transferring to the computer. Such a frank and inexpensive answer, the cable should have come with the camcorder.

Purposeless, but cheap! Doesn't fit.
Digital Video (camera-end) clog was slightly oversize and would not fit
(nor be forced), into Sony camera D/V socket.
This rendered it useless.
Went to Electronics department store ,paid 5X much, but fit perfectly.
