you get what you pay forI got this dwarf camera with rewards points. After reading the reviews I really wasn't expecting much. For the rate it is a pretty good camera. Doesn't work on any computer except my laptop. Requires massive amounts of retention and a good video card. Doesn't work at all on my new iMac running Snow Leopard. I am let down about that.

Horrific little video cam for the price
I have been a fan of the Tiny Wonder camcorder line. I have bought a few for friends after I had one a while. I really liked the earlier video camera. This is an recovery. It has an SD card slot for adding memory. Plus it is thinner and more stylish as well as has a much larger viewing camouflage and clearer picture. Also has basic photo capture. It slides into a man's front pocket. But here's the downside: The software is not as quiet use as the earlier model, which was flawless in it's simplicity. The newer camera has software that needs updating and I found hazy and the ad for something called Mozy is annoying. The wide angle panorama view the lens has is star-crossed. Most video is taken inside and of people up close. I used this video camera to dim inside houses while shopping for one to buy. But the camera could not really film the enclosed space like the nearer model did because of the wide angle view. Despite that, I really like the camera. At this penalty, it is a great deal! When I take it out of my pocket and start filming, people are amazed that it is a video camera. Momentous little camcorder for the price. Kids love it too.

Very low-mark camcorder
I unquestionably wanted to like this camcorder, however, the video quality was so poor that it was basically unusable. If you register in anything but the brightest sunlight the results will be terrible. The design of the camera is nice. Its light heaviness, stylish and comfortable. Used it for a few days before finally giving up. If you have memories worth recording then they be entitled to better than this camcorder. Oh, the memory card retaining latch broke the forth previously I ejected the card so now its actually completely useless as I can't get a card to latch in anymore. Somehow a becoming end to a disappointing product. Shame on you RCA!

Believable concept, just wish it worked.This camera was bought for me as a christmas honorarium last year. At the time, I was expecting my first child, and was super excited to have a seemingly easy to use video camera to put my new baby with. It's now July and I used the camera for the first time a few weeks ago. I recorded my son's first day at the beach, and his first jar of toddler food, and just some other simple little videos of him. When I hooked it up to my tv with the AV cable, it looked profound.
The problem came when I tried to upload the videos to my computer. The camera says it comes programmed with its own software. However, my computer won't concede the camera at all. I've tried everything. So now, all these special videos are in this tiny little camera and I can't get them off. If I can't figure something out to get my son's first videos off this camera, I will be contacting RCA.
I don't call to mind ANYONE buy this camera!

This was recommended to me by new parents. I sent it to my daugter and soninlaw. They attachment it. Compact and easy to use. I get a new video of my grandson daily. Just put it in your pocket and go. Very simple to use.

I bought this uncertain beast because of all these glowing reviews and I have to wonder if all of you are RCA employees.
Good- Sure this scrap garner records video.
Bad- It has a corrupted little mind of its own. I can erase every last video then turn it off and later when I desperate straits to use it, it will list 22 minutes recording time remaining, sometimes its 24 or 28 but barely ever a full 30 minutes.
It doesn't use memory cards so you're stuck running back to your laptop to upload the video's every nonetheless its full, even though it has some kind of slot in the top that NO ONE knows what for?!
I can record a special moment only to find out later that this creature fails to spare it. This has happened to me several times and RCA's advice on reformatting the recorder and installing the latest software from their site hasn't solved anything.
Sometimes I have to reject it off and on again just to stop the endless cycling of recorded video's and get it to read ready to data.
It drains battery life quick, I really suggest buying rechargeable's for this vampire.

the RCA Particle Wonder produces great pictures for such a small camera. The movies are easily stored on i-Photo and edited wiith i-Silent picture. The images viewed on a lcd TV are really great. At $75 this is really a great buy!

I am using the Mailgram to connect an old VCR to to a new TV. The length is convenient, and the contacts appear to be gold (at least in color). The payment is reasonable. (The only similar cable in stock at my local Radio Shack would have cost about $30.)

camcorder video cable
A enormous cable cord at a great price. I like the "sideways" jack because it is not as easy for callow fingers to crimp the chord. Shipping was quick and everything was exactly as expected.

The line I received does not look like the one in the picture, it has seemingly-superior connectors with metallic plating, so I suppose they manufacture these things as they need them and will vary slightly. It's a cable, so there's not a lot to get wrong and it works admirable, with one slight comment that needs to be made EXTREMELY clear.
If you plan to use this cable with certain devices, the colors have to be swapped around. This is so ridiculously unintuitive that it borders on desperado. Certain devices want you to buy their "special" cables so they swap the colors around but it is essentially the requisition same as the standard RCA cable long-used for video cameras. My device used the same swapped regulation as the iPod (red into yellow, yellow into white, red into white). I used a colored orchestra of electrical tape on each to remind myself which one goes in which.
Save the $10 difference between a standard and "particular" cable, tell your friends, and hope that enough angry people will convince them to stop making specious products like that.

Unfortunately, the audio will be MONO, so some software editing will be needed to take possession of both left and right channels. UNLESS, you get a splitter and split the audio so that the RED and Wan audio are connected.

P.S. That camcorder is Noteworthy. The low lighting is something that new camcorders try to achieve. My kids play with the one I have and even use it with a Capture pasteboard as a WebCam. Very nice piece of equipment.

A: We purchased one in the beginning 80s so I believe they came out about then.. Big and very heavy and you use the big VHS casette in them.. I gave it to my now ex when we separated in 98' ideal it didn't work anymore.. I have my Dad's big Sharp which was made in the same time plan.. It still works.. Amazing! I'm pretty sure you can find some reconditioned ones for in stock on e-bay or maybe on some internet site, and parts too. Try checking into that.. Not unswerving tho, why you want to buy those dinasours when they have the small digital ones now but complete luck in finding what you want..
