lift sized fun
This is my deficient video camera I've owned the last on took small cassette tapes so I always had to have a large bag for tapes batteries etc.... when I got this one it was terrible it fit right in my pocket and the memory cards I carry fit into a small wallet. I have taken video of sports games etc. and have posted them on my web verso . the quality is great and the price was unbelievable. I would recommend this camera to anyone starting out with video or well-grounded wanting something to capture those special moments.

proper for the price
PROS: Salutary picture quality, very portable, usb charger is a big plus, and you can choose what quality of video you wound
Cons: I am an armature ghost hunter and got this so i could use my infrared illuminator with it but... it can hardly see it so i cant use it for spirit hunting without taking out the infrared filter. But i dont think ill do that. Also in low light on night standard operating procedure it gets very choppy and grainy.
All in all its a pretty good camera for family events and streaming video onto the computer.

Put down the camcorder, and move far, far to a different place...
So I recently purchased this camcorder and then went back to the have faith and returned it the next day. If you want to waste $100 on a camcorder you won't really be able to use then by all means, indulgence, but if you want to make quality videos then stay away from this one. Seriously, I know that $100 may seem like a skulk, and if you are wanted to make short home movies to quickly email or post online then $100 should get you what you stand in want, but this camcorder can't even do that. The quality of the video is actually sharp, but the lighting needed to get a good photograph is ridiculous. The slightest dim in the room and the shot gets incredibly darker than it should. The sound is a Giant issue. The speaker is in the rear of the camera so the only person you can hear on your recordings is the one holding the camera. This is a big blot if the whole reason you purchased this is to take videos of your kids. I can't even hear my kid's voices! The video's also record in an AVI contents, which means that they won't play in your usual computer software (like Microsoft Video Player) and you'll miss to find an AVI player that will actually play these files. I tried three different ones and none of them would work. In actually, the files this camera created CRASHED MY COMPUTER. Also, one of the big draws to this camera was that it took still photos. I have a camera, but if I can relieve having to carry two items, I'm all for that. The photos that this camera takes are worse than the ones I can take with my phone. They are grainy and out of indistinct and dark. It's horrible. If the videos this camcorder took were better quality (and easier to care for) I would have kept it, regardless of the photograph quality, but alas, the whole camcorder is a mess. I seriously don't view ANYONE giving this five-stars. It is a terrible camcorder and I think everyone should be warned so they don't waste time and folding money on this garbage!

This teensy-weensy guy is incredible!!
I bought this camera a few years back from To the fullest extent Buy and really just abused it. I never kept it in its case. I left it in the car in the sun. I let kids use it. This thing is a tank!
The newer paragon is entirely plastic and may boast better stats, it sucks compared to this one.
My first one finally crapped out on me, so I got on here and bought another one instanter. For 40 bucks I got another one brand new!
Here is why I love it:
1. In good light it takes incredibly great in extent quality stills. Much higher resolution than 5MP even.
2. It records to SD.
3. Has a li-on battery that lasts forever and is natural to find backups for.
4. It is 1/3rd the price of a flip video, but it 10 times better because it will zoom, records to SD, and it takes stills.
5. It records in avi and not some unexplored codec to computers.
6. It is built very well. The newer model is entirely plastic and feels like the viewfinder is common to snap off, but this one is very sturdy and is comprised mostly of metal.
7. Has some manual focus settings.
8. The pictures and video are stable to what you see in the viewfinder. With some cheap cameras your pics look fine when you take them, but when you look at them later they are shadowy or out of focus.
Here is why it is cheap:
1. No optical zoom. (the digital zoom just pixelates everything)
2. Requires a lot of endurable. It tries to adjust to low light but it compromises a couple megapixels and color quality to do so.
3. Dull shutter speed. If you are taking a group picture push the button on the count of 1 and it will in the end take when you get to 3.
4. The microphone is on the back instead of the front. The cameraman will be heard very well, but his subjects will not.
You won't find a better camera under $150. Finish for adults and kids of all ages. If it breaks (which is quite difficult to do) its super cheap to restore. Everyone should have one of these.

Immense People do Deal with
This camera is A-. We did have a problem with a manufacturers defect on the first one sent - but the sellers were great. They stand behind their products, and sent out a replacement at no assert with express mail on the very day we informed them of the problem.
I spoke with them by phone as well - I feel very comfortable dealing with them and rousing others to do so.

Gentle to use, fulfills most camcorder needs
I indeed bought the Insignia NS-DV720P digital camcorder. It is essentially the same as this one with a slightly larger screen. I bought this on Jet Friday since it was on sale at a local electronics store. I have to say it is about the easiest camcorder I've ever worked with. First I'll do the industrial specs.

Usage/Pros: After about five minutes compute of reading the short manual and fiddling around with the camera I had all the controls and functions figured out. When mounted on a tripod the video is very silken. If pointed at a bright light source it will take a second to adjust automatically. When testing it for a few minutes with a walking commotion while trying to hold the camera steady the video was pretty smooth and looks colossal. Hooking everything up to the computer is easy and smooth to use with no troubles uploading videos to your PC or directly to Youtube. With a 4GB retention card you can get up to 1750 photos or 2:11:32 of video. I definitely suggest this camcorder (NS-DV720P) for all your red-letter day and event needs.
Usage/Cons: Speaker is mounted on the side which works fine when conclusion to the sound source (i.e. < 10 feet). When testing it for sound at a TV 25 feet away the audio was difficult to hear. Even with a human speaking at 25 feet away in a normal voice it can be heard, but is difficult. There is no mic outlet to plug in a microphone. The camcorder is just slightly too big enough to fit in a pants pocket, but would fit in a purse fine.
Unsure: I don't know charge times or total usage interval per charge. Not sure about editing but it does allow quick Youtube uploads.
All-embracing impressions: It is mostly stylish, similar to most handheld video cameras on the market. It is quick and handy to operate. It is small and light enough to be easy to use for extended periods. You can't take it everywhere (like the clubs that those uber-matter-of-fact cameras on the market make you think you'd take it) but it works great and that's all I needed.
