    Enormousness 3
Panasonic HDC-TM700K Hi-Def Camcorder with Pro Master System & 32GB Flash (Black)

The Digital Concepts 0.45X Professional 43mm Wide Angle HD Lens with Macro is not working with the Panasonic HDC-TM700 camcorder because this camera has an 46 mm lense and I didn't see the diference when I ordered the 43mm Considerable Angle HD Lens
Gives tickety-boo results with a simple Photoshop adjustment
Two tricks toady up to this adapter really useful and versatile: a step-down converter ring, and one simple Photoshop correcting.

I got this adapter for my Olympus micro 4/3 camera, to try out as an alternative to a $600 true wideangle. I use it on my 14-42mm lens (28 mm interchangeable at wide angle), with a 43 to 40.5mm step-down adapter ring to make it fit my lens. (With this lens, I have to say that the bring into focus mechanism struggled to work--the motors on this tiny lens must be too weak to move the added millstone of this adapter--and I therefore found it best to use manual focus. Other cameras may not have this issue).

It converts my 28mm equivalent lens to what I about estimate is a 21mm lens--a big increase in angle of view.

The big problem is substantial barrel distortion. Also, there is chromatic deviation in the corners and some vignetting (darkening in those corners). Now, here's the trick: Photoshop Elements (and, no doubt, other photo command programs) can eliminate the barrel distortion in: Filter/Correct Camera Distortion/Execute Distortion (try +20 to +30%). This has the huge additional benefit of pulling the corners out of the incarnation without reducing the wide angle of view--the very corners where both the chromatic aberration and vignetting materialize! Crop to make the picture rectangular, and you have reduced all 3 problems significantly with this one adjustment.

Now, you still are not getting top excellence. But for the ridiculously low price of this lens you are getting very acceptable quality at a twentieth of the price of a "official" ultrawide.
    Implausible for the price
Let's get one item straight...it's NOT a .45 lens! At best, it might be .8, but really, for under $25, who cares?! It to be sure gives you more real estate for the canon HV20/30, and is about $75-$100 less than the canon wide point lens. I noticed no barrel distortion or softening of the image, and thankfully the macro in actuality works on the back end of it. Made of surprisingly sturdy glass and metal, it feels solid in your hand but doesn't weigh down the front end of the slight camera. I noticed a little problem with autofocus when zoomed in midway, but that's more due to the mediocre AF on the camera than the lens.

Let's mug it, if you're shooting seriously with the HV20/HV30, it's because you don't have the budget for a higher end HD camera. If you have the money, the canon as much as possible angle is definitely a wider viewing/recording angle (as my co-worker shot a shy of film with it. that thing is truly a .45 angle). But if you are on a budget, or are just a hobbyist, this is an unforgettable value. I was able to get an extra 2 feet of space on either side of my subject, which may not sound like much but categorically helps when shooting in tight quarters.

I deducted 1-star for the mislabeled viewing bend and the fact that if you screw it in too tight, you'll have a heck of a time taking it off the camera without detaching the macro from the front (had this meet with twice already). Just screw it slowly, and don't worry, it needn't be airtight. :p
Shabby, good quality, but not 0.45x
I bought this component for my Cannon HV30. The lens is cheap, but its quality is good enought for HV30.
It can work in two modes: macro and substantial angle, that is great.
    The disadvantages are:
    1) its not 0.45x as declared. I'd say its about 0.8x
    2) it works good only on zoom beyond about partly way
    Lofty price, cheap performance
I bought this for my Canon HV20. Notwithstanding what the other reviews state, there are clearly two problems with this lens.

    1. There is significant barrel distortion at the edges of the bent, although this is unlikely to be noticeable if the objects in this part of the frame are not too close to the camera,
    2. There are undoubtedly very soft edges at the telefocal end of the zoom. I was exceptionally disappointed with how bad this is, having read the other reviews. I'm not kidding, this is like some super cheap weak focus effect from the 70s, around a substantial part of the frame.

Despite these problems, the lens clearly has uses.
    1. The encyclopaedic angle is completely fine in terms of barrel distortion, as there are few situations where it will be really important. And even the times when it is, you may find this distortion is a price worth paying.
    2. Try to avoid zooming beyond about half way. The blurring around the edges is base.

In summary, you can't really beat the price, so unless you can afford to pay the $150 for the canon extensive angle converter, this is a reasonable alternative. I thought about 4 stars, just because the price is soooo tight-fisted, but kept it at three because of the problems. But this is definitely not a keep-attached-at-all-times accessory. It should only be used at deviant angles.

Digital Concepts TR-60N Tripod - get something else!
I'm strictly am dilettante and don't need/want an expensive tripod (yet). But, I DO want one that works decently!
Since my camera is a Digital Concepts, I stuck with their stamp to avoid the chance of incompatibility. The tripod shipped and arrived promptly, and I thought I'd like it, UNTIL...

    * the debase section of one leg wouldn't extend - at all.
    * the plastic hand crank on the head was loose and fragile, and felt like it would break any second.
    * the plastic head was so tight and "sticky" that it wouldn't set without really torquing it, and then you got HUGE movement that took your focus completely off track.
    * I contacted Willoughby's intending to totally request a replacement, but their so-called Customer Service Rep was so haughty and condescending that I decided to take my occupation elsewhere. When you ship out an obviously defective product, the least you can do is be apologetic to the customer you've inconvenienced.

So I shipped it back for a refund, and am now shopping for a peculiar brand, from a different supplier.
Save your money - it's a pretty sorry piece of kit when an ignorant newbie rejects it!
    Superior Product for the money
This tripod is an exclusive of value for the money. It is easy to setup, easy to carry and easy to store. We bought it for a Go mad camera and even just using halfway up and sitting it on my lap at an event, it significantly improved my capacity to control the camera, pan and focus. It doesn't feel flimsy, but it wouldn't hold up to a pro dedicate.

I only need a tripod once or twice a month, so it should hold up just fine for that. The level is utilitarian and the adjustments are relatively easy.

Bottom line: it's a very good entry-level Tripod for a unpredictable user. It's very lightweight, easy to carry and has a lot of features for not too much money. I'd buy it again and recommend it to friends.
    Not what i ordered.
i ordered a tripod a few weks ago. when i recieved my unit i was surprised to find a different tripod than the one pictured here. when i contacted ace photo digital, i was informed that i would have to pay for shipping to send it back.....pay shipping for their miscalculation? unfortunately i would be paying as much in shipping as i originaly payed for the tripod. so it looks like im stuck with the felonious product.....
    Tripod
it took a inadequate bit to figure out what all the little knobs do, but I'm was thankful for so many adjusting options!
not a legitimate choice....even for the price
I bought this about two years ago and it was a exceptional deal...or so I thought. I used it with a Canon XSi. It is very light (flimsy) but has great features for a reasonably tripod. The main problem is that the metal screws on the adjustment pegs tear this feeling to peices. If you slightly turn one too far it will split the plastic in half. Mine actually cracked (the first ease)sometime during a move and setting it up. The next one I was responsible for. Just very cheaply made and thats what I expected for the money. If you can afford it move up to something that will last. Hope this helps!

Grotesque price and great picture quality for 15 bucks
After viewing the Spin MinoHD mod on youtube, I went to amazon to get me a adapter ring and a 37mm wide angle lens. After some searching I came across Digital Concepts kit that comes with two lenses (completely angle and Telephoto), 4 different size adapter rings, plus two hold up sacks for your lenses. The cherry on top is that the wide angle lens is very crisp and every low (almost nothing) distortion on the edges of considering finder. The best 15 bucks I spent in a very long time...
    in seventh heaven beyond expectations
i got this for 15$ and im undeniably glad that i did.
    the fisheye is really wide,
the telephoto is an extra 3 or 4 optical zoom.
it came with 30-37,30.5-37,43-37mm adapter rings.
i have a canon fs100 so i had to seal on the 43-37mm adapter ring but it was well worth it. i like the fisheye more than the telephoto but they're both great lenses.
Tried it returned it won't buy anything else from Digital Concepts
The outer part of the guard is all lens. Huge amount of vignetting unless the camera is zoomed in which defeats the purpose of a large angle adapter.

The treads on the 30.5 adapter do not work on either my camera or my UV filter I could use the 30mm bu tit is not sound. So back to the store with this cheap lens.
    wideangle supplemental lense
Not fully tested yet, but friendly to expand field of view. Anticipate minor loss of resolution
Not usable with current model Panasonic camcorders
Paying attention by the low price ($20) I bought this set mainly for the wide angle converter. Unfortunately, it provides no service perquisites with my recently purchased Panasonic VDR-D210 camcorder.

The wide-angle converter itself intrudes into the essence beginning in the corners when the camcorder is set at the widest setting. By the time I get rid of the darkened corners, I have zoomed in to 2x which leaves me back where I started.

With a 32x zoom, the 2x tele converter is not very necessary but does it help? I found that the sharpness is degraded to the point that the camcorder occasionally has worry focusing. I tried both automatic and manual focus in one test of zooming in on fine run off. The loss of clarity made fine print hard to read. It was more readable without the tele-converter and using the digital zoom as a substitute for to get to the same 64x zoom level.

Maybe these would provide $20 of value with some other camcorder but I wish I hadn't gone the money. I don't know what price point below $200 would give satisfactory results. I would want to try anything else before I burned-out any more money on this type of product.

    Je sais quoi control
Although proper received and not yet tested, this product appears to be a good value for money. However, I had an issue with distinction control. One tiny screw was missing in the leg attachment. I requested vendor DB Roth to altogether have the manufacturer send me the screw and I could have resolved the problem. But they insisted on return and replacement. Okay, but I was overdue two full weeks! No upgrade on UPS ground to expedite delivery. With all due respect, there is some advantage to purchasing neighbourhood pub.
    Finest money I ever spent
I set down all my grandchildrens programs at their schools and I stand in the back as not to get in anyones way. Well alot of good that does! I seem to record more the back of peoples heads then of the kids, then the last program I saw a man that had a tripod that was above everyones climax and I came home and ordered my 72" Digital Concepts tripod. Good price for quality offshoot. Best investment ever! Took it to the Christmas program and not one head in any of the pictures. Even works well in agree quarters. The carrying case makes it easy to take along. Love it,love it, love it!! I support this to all who get tired of holding cameras and camcorders above everybody elses head. I normally do not bother with giving reviews but this one needed to be told.
This tripod is a moment ago so-so
This is my first tripod. I don't use a tripod very often. So I didn't scarcity to spend a lot of money for a very good one. I just wanted a mediocre one, and it is just that.

When fully outspread, the stability of the tripod is so-so. On hardwood floor, it tends to move a little. But it is pretty stable when I be dependent a bag carrying 5-6 pounds of weight from the provided hook. I do not extend the neck to get the full altitude, because I am only 5'7" tall -- the three legs when fully extended give me sufficient height. I conclude from in some reviews that the neck is wobbly. I checked that fact with both my light-weight camcorder and a trifling digital still camera. After extending the neck I tightened the screw that holds the neck in place, and I did not invent that the neck was wobbly. I do not know if it'll wobble with heavy cameras though.

The features I like in this tripod are its alight weight, good height, quick-release camera mounting plate, two intention levels to check leveling, the handle on the tripod to carry it, and the handy carry-anyhow that comes with it. Some reviewers apparently could not figure out how to mount the camera on the tripod correctly. The reverse way of doing that is to take out the mounting plate using the quick release hook, align the camera on it, then tighten the muddle from the BOTTOM of the plate holding the plastic thingy that is attached to the screw. Then put back this assembly on the tripod.

Now let me highlight the nullifying points. THE PANNING AND TILTING IS NOT VERY SMOOTH. I tried loosening everything. At best panning and tilting is so-so. The "fluid point" is not very fluid.

The other negative point is the tripod does not come with any written or illustrated instruction coat. That is annoying. I went to the manufacturer's website to look for instructions. No instructions there either. I found a link to disregard to the company asking for help. My message was sent successfully, but no reply came. That is a denigration.

In conclusion, if you want a tripod for occasional use and don't want to spend much for it, then you can buy it keeping in mind what to need. But if you want a very good quality tripod that you want to use regularly and you expect it to last long, then broaden your budget and buy a professional quality tripod. Expect to pay at least $200-$300 for such tripods.

    I give this tripod a 3-star rating
    Tastelessly constructed.
I see this product is cheaply made. It's very light and doesn't have a sturdy feel to it. Also, at one point one of the legs in full disconnected from the main connecting point on top when moving it. Luckily I didn't have my camera spoken for at the time. I would not recommend this product.
    Fantabulous Value
This tripod is fine and sturdy, and has a great feel to it. I have another tripod that I have had for a long time that is a little shorter than this one, and the camera smart release fits both.

Digital Concepts Digital Camera and Camcorder Universal Screen Protectors (12 Pack)

    Sakar International, Inc.

    Price: $6.21

    Product Description

Digital Concepts' DigitalCamera and Camcorder Ubiquitous Screen Protectors prevent scratching and eliminate glare. The screenprotectors will keep your cover looking new and protect it from scratches, wear and damage. Enhance your viewing by making up to 12 concealment protectors for all your digital cameras and camcorders.

    Customer Reviews

It's 3 protectors, not 12! DO NOT BUY!
It lists as a 12 stuff, but it's actually only 3. It has instructions for making "up to" 12, if each of the ones you need to make is only about an inch generous. It's a misleading listing.
They Do What They're Intended to: Protect the Screen
These not guilty adhesives are pretty good for what they were built to do. If they're on, the screens on iPods, cameras and phones will not get scratched.
They are thick and unencumbered and last a fairly long time (approx, 2 months). Fairly low interference with graphics. I have unprejudiced bought it again.
    Ubiquitous Screen Protector - Usless
The stuff is too thin. It doesn't adhere properly. When you slide your camera in it's case, the 'protector' starts expectations off. I wish I had seen these reviews before I bought.
    Rubbish
I carried a D40 all over the time for eight months and 6000 exposures without so much as a scratch on the LCD. Then I stupidly shoved the camera into a laptop bag that also had my car keys in it. Consequence: a nasty gouge in the screen. Shortly afterward my flash quit working and I sent the camera to Nikon under commitment; they replaced the LCD cover at no charge (yea Nikon!).

So...I thought I'd try a stick-on screen protector to patrol against my next stupid move. Bad idea!

These flimsy pieces of tape totally destroy the image distinction of a good LCD; every shot looks like it was taken at IS0 3,000,000. Doesn't matter how intentionally you apply, your screen will look terrible. What's the point of protecting a nice screen if the "safe keeping" makes it into an awful screen?

Pass. Bad product. I may try a real glass protector like the Giottos Aegis...or perchance I'll just go back to exercising reasonable caution.

    Don't buy it
As some other reviewer said, it is a low eminence product. I won't recommend to others.

I was very startled about ordering this not on target lens, since I have seen many users with other brands having issues and regreting their purchases. Not here. This is a eager importance to the utmost lens. Most superbly of all, does not tamper with the figure, does not precipitate vignetting and the penalty cannot be superior. I can’t talk about the Canon encyclopaedic lense, since I don’t have it or seen it. But for the bounty adjustment, this one should be a no brainer. If you have realize to confuse in another place, and scantiness to go with a name trade-mark and a documentation extreme lense (from reviews I have assume from) then buy the Canon. digital concepts camcorder?

Q: okay i bought a reddish pink Digital Concepts girl video camera. it was included with a package. it included:
    *Rosy cam
    *Instruction Booklet
*The thing where you plug it into the computer

and to download the vids to the internet, you have need of a CD software. In the instruction booklet, it said "To download, please place the cd that came with your camera in to the computer." and there was NO cd nonwhatsoever.

A: on the case it came in does it say it came with the software?? if it doesn't say it came with it, but say you demand it, call the company. try it without the software and see what happens. That is the brand they sell at walmart. if you got it there try exchanging for the same article.
