I paid very elfin for this on special. With free shipping or Amazon Prime (I forget) it was really inexpensive. Well made for a lightweight persist for a point and shoot or small video camera. I like the quality.

Prominence control
Although righteous received and not yet tested, this product appears to be a good value for money. However, I had an issue with mark control. One tiny screw was missing in the leg attachment. I requested vendor DB Roth to absolutely have the manufacturer send me the screw and I could have resolved the problem. But they insisted on return and replacement. Okay, but I was late two full weeks! No upgrade on UPS ground to expedite delivery. With all due respect, there is some advantage to purchasing close by.

Most talented money I ever spent
I platter confidentially all my grandchildrens programs at their schools and I stand in the back as not to get in anyones way. Well alot of good that does! I seem to narrate more the back of peoples heads then of the kids, then the last program I saw a man that had a tripod that was above everyones head and I came bailiwick and ordered my 72" Digital Concepts tripod. Good price for quality result. Best investment ever! Took it to the Christmas program and not one head in any of the pictures. Even works well in close by nearly quarters. The carrying case makes it easy to take along. Love it,love it, love it!! I put forward this to all who get tired of holding cameras and camcorders above everybody elses head. I normally do not bother with giving reviews but this one needed to be told.

This tripod is lately so-so
This is my first tripod. I don't use a tripod very often. So I didn't be to spend a lot of money for a very good one. I just wanted a mediocre one, and it is just that.
When fully spread-out, the stability of the tripod is so-so. On hardwood floor, it tends to move a little. But it is pretty stable when I linger a bag carrying 5-6 pounds of weight from the provided hook. I do not extend the neck to get the full maximum, because I am only 5'7" tall -- the three legs when fully extended give me sufficient height. I know in some reviews that the neck is wobbly. I checked that fact with both my light-weight camcorder and a delicate digital still camera. After extending the neck I tightened the screw that holds the neck in set up, and I did not think that the neck was wobbly. I do not know if it'll wobble with heavy cameras though.
The features I like in this tripod are its witty weight, good height, quick-release camera mounting plate, two zest levels to check leveling, the handle on the tripod to carry it, and the handy carry-package that comes with it. Some reviewers apparently could not figure out how to mount the camera on the tripod correctly. The discipline way of doing that is to take out the mounting plate using the quick release hook, align the camera on it, then tighten the botch from the BOTTOM of the plate holding the plastic thingy that is attached to the screw. Then put back this assembly on the tripod.
Now let me highlight the unresponsive points. THE PANNING AND TILTING IS NOT VERY SMOOTH. I tried loosening everything. At best panning and tilting is so-so. The "flexible head" is not very fluid.
The other negative point is the tripod does not come with any written or illustrated instruction paper. That is annoying. I went to the manufacturer's website to look for instructions. No instructions there either. I found a link to annul to the company asking for help. My message was sent successfully, but no reply came. That is a prudishness.
In conclusion, if you want a tripod for occasional use and don't want to spend much for it, then you can buy it keeping in mind what to look for. But if you want a very good quality tripod that you want to use regularly and you expect it to last long, then swell your budget and buy a professional quality tripod. Expect to pay at least $200-$300 for such tripods.

Tawdrily constructed.
I perceive this product is cheaply made. It's very light and doesn't have a sturdy feel to it. Also, at one point one of the legs en masse disconnected from the main connecting point on top when moving it. Luckily I didn't have my camera spoken for at the time. I would not recommend this product.

Able Value
This tripod is satisfyingly and sturdy, and has a great feel to it. I have another tripod that I have had for a long time that is a little shorter than this one, and the camera astute release fits both.

Very Subtle, Very Tall
I purchased this because i girl place/lost/got my other tripod stolen. First off, its extremely tall and very easy to adjust to the highest acme. It only took about 2 minutes to figure out how to operate the whole thing, since it came with absolutely no instructions at all. It would have been soft to attach my camera to it but the part where you screw it in on my camera is broken but a few rubber bands fixed that.
The only quandary is that it is very hard to pan the tripod left/right, i feel that i might break it so i try not to. Also the center rod that you roll up can get unjust because there is a little plastic bolt that needs to be loosened before you use it. Other than those, it seems fine to me.
BTW!!!! With S&H and tax it comes up to $30, which was kinda spaced out.

Close price!
I'm overjoyed with this tripod. It is perfect. It was my first time purchasing a tripod and it took me about 30 minutes to conformation out how to set it up. Honestly it can be a bit confusing. This tripod by Polaroid did not come with setup instructions in the box whatsoever. If you're a newbie you either have to image it out or get someone experienced to help you out. Other than that, I am happy with the portability, the height and the rest of its functions! It seems like it will be sturdy and worth the money, which wasn't much!

Fanciful, Light, Strong, Canon tripod!
This is once a great tripod. Light weight and sturdy enough for normal useage. I recently went hiking and brought this tripod with me, and it was simplification enough. It is a little stiff panning up and down, but it may go away, I haven't had this tripod long. Also, I;m using the vehicle bag more than i thought I would, so that's a plus. ou should get this tripod, it's worth it for the money.

I will take a Outlast for the Canon 200 Tripod!
As eventually as I opened my package, I knew this was the best $40 bucks I have spent in a while. It is a hearty component with strong legs that snap into place with clips and not tiny pins. It has a liquid equal built in which I got all excited about. And it has a quick release head so if you need to take your camera off the tripod speedily. This is so much better than my old-school tripod where I have to spin and unthread the camera off the tripod if necessary. I also like that it has a meet base bars. This was important to me. It just makes me feel better about my tripod. I am a photo adherent and I absolutely love this Canon 200 tripod. /|\

Passionate for just about everyone
This is a expert tripod, for the price it's hard to beat. I'm 6'5" and this tripod works great, it's constructed very well for the toll. I'm a intermeadiate photographer and I like the ease of the quick release and setup. It's light, yet burly and all for $40.

this tripod is a crock of shit
Tripod shipped from Amazon on Jan 5 2010 on Mar 15, 2010 persuadable head on tripod broke in two dumbing the camera to the floor. Cannon web site lists a 1 year undertaking for "hardware" called Canon and was told there is no warranty for tripod. Sent email including constituent to page that listed 1 year and was told no warranty for tripod. Net result Tripos lasted close to 2 months, failure mode caused camera to fall to floor and Canon return is sorry for inconvience but to warranty (Just trying to get service for tripod).

Up against it after about six uses
I'll keep this in a word & sweet;
I really like the look, feel, and weight of this tripod. The thing is feather cross! The tri-pod breaks down (pun intended) into a small compact size.
After about six uses, I happened to notice that my camera/lens was starting to sag. Well I took off my 40D + 200mm L series lens & noticed that the meretricious was beginning to shear apart under the weight. I had mistakenly thought that a camera tripod could assume a camera + lens. My bad~ ;)
Well I've had the camera since Nov 2009, and now it is Feb 18th 2010. I contacted Canon USA to give them the story that I have tons of their products, fianc em, and hoped that they would replace the tri-pod. FAT CHANCE!! They basically laughed at me. Makes me feel crappy because I have over 5,000.00$ in Canon gear. Shows how they treat their loyal fans. Next I contacted Amazon only to find out that my last chance to return the mention was January 31st. :) Sweet!!!!
Well as other have said, this item is prone to breaking due to the amount of plastic. If you withstand like betting your money that you will receive a tri-pod that defies the laws of 'plastic breakage' in this mould, step forth and flail your bills. Just don't expect to be able to return the offering & get your money back ;)
