One we received was destabilized, so we returned it for a refund and have never looked back. I might consider another if I find one around $50, about how much any of these are worth.

What a say what is on one's mind of Crap!!!
I have bad weigh of Vado HD 2nd Gen 8GB camera! I found out it is just a piece of CRAP! :( And I want my money & my momentous videos back! Here is my true story why I hated it.

I bought this Vado pocket camcorder after reading all the reviews. But those are all dregs reviews I think maybe because they haven't faced this kind of issue as mine. I bought it for my next of kin trip and for important family event that's wedding ceremony of my brother. I took uniting footage very nicely with fixing all the lighting using tripod. And all those hard works. After the end I tried to copy the videos/footage into my computer but unfortunately Vado HD drive is not showing in my MacBook Pro computer and I consideration maybe the USB port is not good for it and tried changing other USB port still it didn't worked So, I tried in using other computer with Windows 7 it didn't worked neither and also tried on other computer which has Windows XP, Vista, Linux...nothing worked! Man, after all those bid I gave up and called Creative Labs Customer support and mentioned about the problem. And they thought that its just a software firmware enigma and asked to upgrade but it's not connecting to computer how could I upgrade it! So, I asked them as I have just used for a month and I have commitment, can I get it repaired and get my important videos back? but they said there is no warranty on the footage!!! WTF??? I was wholly pissed-off. However, luckily I had my friend working for Creative Labs I have approached her and explained about my problem and she said she will try to get it repaired sending to plant. And I thought that's a good idea and gave it to her and sent to factory they said Singapore. And I was told that, they are repairing, so has to linger..I waited more than 6 months and contacted them again, then later they said it's not yet repaired and sending it back to me! WTF?? this is their customer prop up and warranty use! So, why to buy this crap! Stay away from it. Just get other good quality HD camcorder which is credible!

I have not yet received the camera, they said it's on my way! Once I receive it I will try to repair it by myself opening the camera and take out the hard-persistence or its storage device/chips. Will see how I could mange it to copy my urgent videos.

I know my analysis is long but that's the true bad experience I have ever had with my electronic gadgets! Hence Creative Lab SUCKS! I will never buy their product in my life!

died way too clever

Bought this in October 09.

Recorded about 30 minutes of video since then. Charged the battery-operated four times.

The unit is now dead: wont take a charge, wont power on.

I am pursuing a refund. I deliberate over this to be junk.

Less ill than Zip....
I've been using the Vado video camera for a few months now and I am very advantageous with it. The High Definition quality is excellent and the accompanying video editing software is barely acceptable for my amateur needs. I highly recommend the product. I have a friend who uses the Zip and for the price and understanding quality, the Vado wins hands down.

I am traveling preferable now and this camera has come in handy quite a bit. It's easy to carry around, simple to operate and plugs unerringly into your computer for easy drop off. There is not an external memory option on this camera but it the amount of time you get with internal homage is plenty of room for short or long videos. It's a good camera.

I tutor b introduce this for vacation and special occasions... I love it so much I sometimes leave it to my pocket book :)
It's very faint, quality is good. I tried it charging using MAC and the vado start to act funny like it won't apply to on, it only happened one time though.

Free working after a year
We liked this fallout while it worked. We used it to record clips of our first child. However, after a year of light use it started bone-chilling. It doesn't work at all any more and won't even turn on. We missed the warranty by one week. Obviously, this is not a quality fallout.

Proficient sound and great video quality
I'm an tiro photographer. This summer, I have been shooting local rock bands and I wanted a dedicated video camera to capture their loaded audio and stage show (loud sound and low lighting). Everyone who has seen my band videos is astonished with the audio quality and video quality, even in low light. Wish it had 8 gig instead of 4.

I'll keep the 2d days one instead of the 3d
I was intelligent to buy this one, and then found out it only has 4 GB on-board memory. Where's the 8GB version? In my mind, until the 8-16GB versions come out, it's not worth upgrading. Even outstrip: a memory expansion option. Until then, I'm staying with my older 8GB Vado.

Bettor than expected
after reading ALL the reviews I was so puzzling and ready to give up on any mini cam. I went ahead and bought it. To sum up my experience so far,,, all the bad reviews are solely out of line. As far as no software for editing, most computers have software that functions fine with the VADO. There is also a ton of software convenient to buy on-line for about 30 dollars. The touch pad is NOT too sensitive. The photo quality was better than the reviewers. stated.

In Shortening,, the bad reviews are just whiny from spoiled brats. It was an excellent product and very affordable!

Very Nice Product
Very creditable product. Very handy and easy to manipulate. The option permitting to flip from photo to video is a loving terrible feature that my 1st generation VADO-HD doesn't have.
Unfortunately, I bought it for $179 and it became $129 two life after without any possibility to get reimbursed for the difference from Amazon.

Amiable, but with reservations
First I tried a refurbished one; it had the same difficulty as a new one so I'm pretty sure it's because of the firmware or something.

Positives: the video quality is one of the better ones out there (IMO), feel ashamed balance is pretty good in both daylight and low light, nice wide screen lens to grab a lot, size and weight are nice, still pictures are good too.

NOT SO GOOD: no buttons so you don't know you're hitting them during playback or recording (having to in force strangely to avoid the flush "buttons"), even at its widest zoom you have to very careful of camera shiver, case gets scratched super easy, when camera goes into standby you normally hit a knob to wake it up - only sometimes it freezes and a power cycle is the only way to get it back.

The latter negatives made me return it. It's really too bad, b/c I like would've kept it had it not been for those issues.

my vado camcorder is a immense little cammer ,i think .and it last for two hr,s like the add said it would and i really do want to keep it .and a small landlord i have for it and it goes where i go and a extra battery .just encase ! one thing that can really make your day sad is when you constraint it right then and NO BATTREY ! RIGHT! well then this is what you need and holds a good charge so far . buy a extra on all of them when you get a leading on your bill.s it nice to shoot a shot of something good or bad when needed . car ricks .or just birthdays to or what ever winds your observe . a extra battery is a must for me and this is a good brand .i most likely will even get one more .just because i really like my camcorder . accomplished by and good luck in what filling you do and get the right one at amazon . they will help you. end of line

Very merit battery
This lithium-ion mobile pack is rated for 1050mAH at 3.7V. Made in China.

Be mindful that the 2 hours is just for the most notional situation. That is if you will shoot continuously without pausing or turning off the camera. In real life predicament, you will be pausing after every clip and still your LCD will be on for a minute. I only get an hour and a few minutes more in normal use. Still, this battery is decent and not one of those cheapos that put on air with a gazillion mAhs but never deliver.

Horrendous accessory for the beach!
This spin-off worked great!! I was a little concerned after I read a poor review for it that said theirs had leaked, but we had NO problems with it at all. The jump was purchased for a Vado video camera but we also found that it worked great with our digital camera. We have fantastic still photos as well as video of us enjoying the ocean and boogie boarding through some very rough waves, I would subscribe to the pouch highly!

More well-schooled than just for the Vado HD
The encase is pretty durable and has an EXCELLENT seal. It was larger than expected but in the end that is a plus. Not only does it fit my TMobile G1, but I can in point of fact use the touch screen on the phone, inside the pouch!
Very well made product and the lanyard is nice to let the camera consort with at the ready safer than just using the little hole on the camera itself.

It works...
I bought the Vado HD camera for my 7 year old that loves to video and take stills of everything under the sun. Now she can do both but underwater with this sack. We use it with other cameras too. We love the underwater video that she takes. We also bring it along snowboarding and other snow sports and she wears it spoken for to her jacket. For the price, just the fact that it works makes me like it.

Waterproof Swoop
I found this on Amazon while we were in Hawaii and my confrere was taking photos with his Olympus SW camera underwater. I ordered it and it arrived when we got home. I've been using my Vado and in the final analysis enjoy it but so wanted to take snorkeling with me... This seems to be the solution and I will be taking it to Hawaii when we return next year. I've also put my digital camera in it and tested it and it seems to profession just fine so I can use it for both video and still photography.

Far richer reconsider than expected!
I bought this because I will use my Vado outdoors and it of obviously is not waterproof. As soon as I got it, I did a test to see what I would lose by using the pouch.........and the answer is.......I can see NO leftovers. Now the clarity of the plastic is good, so I thought that operating the camera inside the pouch would not discredit the quality that much.........honestly, I can't tell the difference. The amazing thing to me is the audio..........with the camera locked inside this waterproof unawares, the audio of me talking is still very clear. There might be some loss of faint sounds in the background, but that might be all. This is an expensive on, but it clearly exceeds my expectations.

The Vado has a larger partition and is a bit slimmer but it does not pick up colors as good as the Go mad ultra and the volume is very low. As for the RCA small wonder, i do not know much about it but as far as i distinguish, it has alot of similarities to the flip video. But i just got my Snap ultra, and it is amazing. TheFlip.com even sells a tripod, an under heavy water case, and some other cool stuff. So yea I would go for the Flip ultra.

Which is better the Pure Digital Flip Mino HD or Creative Labes Vado HD?

Q: I am looking to get a mini or Youtube camcorder and I've narrowed it down to two options: 1) Righteous Digital Flip Mino HD; 2) Creative Labs Vado HD.

I would be using it mostly outdoors, skiing, hiking, kayaking, and whatever else I might be up to.

Which one would you persuade for shooting outdoor activities?

A: hey im conclusion about getting one of these for my brother for christmas, so im in the same situation as you! Im actually tendency towards the Vado HD but i just read a review that says the Mino HD does elevate surpass out doors.
