Bring to perfection for all my needs.
I needed a sparse video camera for grad school, but I wanted one I didn't have to convert the files of and wasn't affluent to empty me of my funds. After much debilitation, I decided on this camera and so far, so good. It's just as small as I want and I got a taste tripod for it and everything. Ta-da! Nice camera I can use leisurely or for classes.
I would recommend this camera to anyone that isn't interesting in creating lots of pictures but wants something in case something comes up where one would either like a camera or need one.

This video camera is not friendly at all i charged it over night and used it the next day and it was out of battery. Also the quality is very bad and you cant understand what someone saying unless you mumble. This camera may be good for someone that doesnt care about those things. I recommend the vado hd it is a lot better or get the waterproof kodak.

Well-mannered quality low priced camera
i Purchased this camera for my 7 year old , Adroit quality product quite easy to use and my kid loves it.
Video quality is quite proper for its price range, Audio seems to pretty impresive also. Built in software is not too bad, able to act the recorded videos with out any issues.
It does take time to transfer videos from this device to the desktop
The most enthralling thing about this product is the ease of use, no fancy features to worry about or buttons to fumble around.

A laudatory camcorder the size of a cell phone
For perfectly $50, the little Vado is an excellent bargain. My wife leaves it in her purse all the pass "just in case". I haven't tried it using the top quality video, but I'm very pleased with the attribute of the "extended play" video. The sound is even very good for the price you're paying. While you can buy more expensive versions of even this camera where you can record for four hours, have you ever sat down to ogle a 4-hour home video? We're taking this camera on a 7-day Alaskan cruise next month where I arrange to carry it in my cell phone pouch, and we'll be lucky to fill this camera up on that whole cruise...and our friends will be Delighted the most they will be watching this is 4 hours.

It Gets the Job Done
I purchased the Vado for the purposes of vblog and have found it to be okay, but not notable.
The picture quality is grainy, but usable. I hate that there is no pause feature, so you have two choices: (1) everything in one sitting or (2) swarm them together (which for beginners can be difficult).
Transferring from the Vado to computer is super easy. And using it with Windows Large screen Maker is a breeze.
Overall, for the price, it's a handy, easy-to-use video camera. But if you're looking for on a trip quality videos, look elsewhere.

I am traveling open now and this camera has come in handy quite a bit. It's easy to carry around, simple to operate and plugs Nautical starboard into your computer for easy drop off. There is not an external memory option on this camera but it the amount of time you get with internal recollection is plenty of room for short or long videos. It's a good camera.

I dear one Vado!
I diminish this for vacation and special occasions... I love it so much I sometimes leave it to my pocket book :)
It's very scatterbrained, quality is good. I tried it charging using MAC and the vado start to act funny like it won't axe on, it only happened one time though.

Discharged working after a year
We liked this upshot while it worked. We used it to record clips of our first child. However, after a year of light use it started arctic. It doesn't work at all any more and won't even turn on. We missed the warranty by one week. Obviously, this is not a quality result.

One we received was destabilized, so we returned it for a refund and have never looked back. I might consider another if I find one around $50, about how much any of these are worth.

What a jingle of Crap!!!
I have bad reassess of Vado HD 2nd Gen 8GB camera! I found out it is just a piece of CRAP! :( And I want my money & my vital videos back! Here is my true story why I hated it.
I bought this Vado pocket camcorder after reading all the reviews. But those are all dregs reviews I think maybe because they haven't faced this kind of issue as mine. I bought it for my family frisk and for important family event that's wedding ceremony of my brother. I took wedding footage very nicely with fixing all the lighting using tripod. And all those assiduous works. After the event I tried to copy the videos/footage into my computer but unfortunately Vado HD control is not showing in my MacBook Pro computer and I thought maybe the USB port is not good for it and tried changing other USB mooring still it didn't worked So, I tried in using other computer with Windows 7 it didn't worked neither and also tried on other computer which has Windows XP, Vista, Linux...nothing worked! Man, after all those attempt I gave up and called Creative Labs Chap support and mentioned about the problem. And they thought that its just a software firmware problem and asked to upgrade but it's not connecting to computer how could I upgrade it! So, I asked them as I have fair-minded used for a month and I have warranty, can I get it repaired and get my important videos back? but they said there is no warranty on the footage!!! WTF??? I was unqualifiedly pissed-off. However, luckily I had my friend working for Creative Labs I have approached her and explained about my problem and she said she will try to get it repaired sending to mill. And I thought that's a good idea and gave it to her and sent to factory they said Singapore. And I was told that, they are repairing, so has to be tabled..I waited more than 6 months and contacted them again, then later they said it's not yet repaired and sending it back to me! WTF?? this is their customer underwrite and warranty use! So, why to buy this crap! Stay away from it. Just get other good quality HD camcorder which is trusty!
I have not yet received the camera, they said it's on my way! Once I receive it I will try to repair it by myself opening the camera and take out the hard-initiative or its storage device/chips. Will see how I could mange it to copy my urgent videos.
I know my critique is long but that's the true bad experience I have ever had with my electronic gadgets! Hence Creative Lab SUCKS! I will never buy their product in my life!

Recorded about 30 minutes of video since then. Charged the battery-operated four times.
The unit is now dead: wont take a charge, wont power on.
I am pursuing a refund. I think this to be junk.

Richer reconsider than Zip....
I've been using the Vado video camera for a few months now and I am very appropriate with it. The High Definition quality is excellent and the accompanying video editing software is not that for my amateur needs. I highly recommend the product. I have a friend who uses the Zip and for the price and understanding quality, the Vado wins hands down.

Considerable sound and great video quality
I'm an untrained photographer. This summer, I have been shooting local rock bands and I wanted a dedicated video camera to take hold of their live audio and stage show (loud sound and low lighting). Everyone who has seen my border videos is amazed with the audio quality and video quality, even in low light. Wish it had 8 gig as a substitute for of 4.

As far as no software for editing, most computers have software that functions fine with the VADO. There is also a ton of software within reach to buy on-line for about 30 dollars. The touch pad is NOT too sensitive. The photo quality was better than the reviewers. stated.
In Brief,, the bad reviews are just whiny from spoiled brats. It was an excellent product and very affordable!

First I tried a refurbished one; it had the same tough nut to crack as a new one so I'm pretty sure it's because of the firmware or something.
Positives: the video quality is one of the better ones out there (IMO), flush balance is pretty good in both daylight and low light, nice wide screen lens to apprehend a lot, size and weight are nice, still pictures are good too.
NOT SO GOOD: no buttons so you don't know you're hitting them during playback or recording (having to about strangely to avoid the flush "buttons"), even at its widest zoom you have to very careful of camera frighten, case gets scratched super easy, when camera goes into standby you normally hit a handle to wake it up - only sometimes it freezes and a power cycle is the only way to get it back.
The latter negatives made me return it. It's really too bad, b/c I like would've kept it had it not been for those issues.
