Exalted little video cam for the price
I have been a fan of the Negligible Wonder camcorder line. I have bought a few for friends after I had one a while. I really liked the earlier video camera. This is an upgrading. It has an SD card slot for adding memory. Plus it is thinner and more stylish as well as has a much larger viewing shield and clearer picture. Also has basic photo capture. It slides into a man's front pocket. But here's the downside: The software is not as unexcitedly use as the earlier model, which was flawless in it's simplicity. The newer camera has software that needs updating and I found vague and the ad for something called Mozy is annoying. The wide angle panorama view the lens has is calamitous. Most video is taken inside and of people up close. I used this video camera to obscure inside houses while shopping for one to buy. But the camera could not really film the enclosed space like the faster model did because of the wide angle view. Despite that, I really like the camera. At this honorarium, it is a great deal! When I take it out of my pocket and start filming, people are amazed that it is a video camera. Colossal little camcorder for the price. Kids love it too.

Very low-worth camcorder
I undeniably wanted to like this camcorder, however, the video quality was so poor that it was basically unusable. If you report in anything but the brightest sunlight the results will be terrible. The design of the camera is nice. Its light avoirdupois, stylish and comfortable. Used it for a few days before finally giving up. If you have memories worth recording then they warrant better than this camcorder. Oh, the memory card retaining latch broke the forth culture I ejected the card so now its actually completely useless as I can't get a card to latch in anymore. Somehow a equipment end to a disappointing product. Shame on you RCA!

software enigma renders the unit useless and tech support no help either
The software does not de-emphasize delay the movie I took using the camcorder. I tried it with three different computers of mine and still the software did not drudgery on any. The tech support (email only) offered no useful help. Nothing worked, hence the camcorder is barren. I got it as a mileage point redemption and have no idea how to get my miles or money back.
DOn't buy this piece of junk!!

NOT On the same wave length WITH WINDOWS 7
I have the EZ229 pattern, which is the closest to this one. I bought it last summer and later got a new computer with windows 7 OS. I just found out this camera's software is NOT in agreement with Windows 7!
PLUS, the one I have has no capability for use with a tripod, which it really needs.

As Far As $6 Rags Go - This one is respected
What can i say about paying $6 for a rag? Obviously i can't use an old shirt on my $2,000 plasma TV so because of FUD (Fear Uncertainty and Doubt) i ended up paying $6 for a rag. Other than the charge - it works really well - i rub it on the TV and the marks come off. Tah-dah!

had a $25 coupon from amazon and it was on sales event so thing camera cost me about $15.00. It was a gift for my 8 year old and he still has it and he is going on 10. He loves it and makes insignificant lego shorts for himself. Fun and a great learning gift that helps kids stay originative.

Please buy any other mini cam but one of these! If you must put nothing central on it!
I prospect I should write about my experience tonight with my RCA mini cam which I bought last spring. At the time I found it delightful and fun to use. I never imagined that with one press of a button, I could do something so awful as to make me cry. If you buy this recorder and you put anything important to you on it, transfer the video immediately to your computer or a disc or another more secure recorder. I had on my little RCA 3 short videos of a beloved dog that died suddenly in April. They were captivating memories of her. Tonight while trying to erase three still photos that were not important I pushed the delete handle but instead of deleting just the photos I deleted everything on the mini cam. I lost the only video images of a dog I owned for not quite 15 years. It was like losing her all over again. I must say the instructions on the cam were very clear as to how to delete separate still shots. And I successfully deleted the first two photos. When subsequent the prompt to delete the last photo, the prompt came back saying "all images deleted" and my spunk sunk. For some reason, doing the exact same thing, pushing the exact same button this third patch erased not just the image I wanted but every thing else on the cam.
You may have a video of your loved one in better life who is now unwell or even deceased. Or your baby taking their first steps. Or some image that could shake the world. BUT DON'T USE THIS CAMERA TO TAKE YOUR SHOTS. AND IF YOU MUST, GET THEM OFF THIS CAMERA AND ONTO A MORE Invariable ELECTRONIC. I don't know why when I went to erase the third photo my repeated gesture instead erased everything. The unhesitating did not warn I was about to erase everything. The prompt only instructed me to push the button to erase the still image I wanted to wipe out. I followed that direction and lost precious images I cannot retrieve and will never be able to replace or replicate.
Buy a camera healthier made than this one. Buy a camera that does the exact same thing every time you push any one button in particular. Do not buy this camera that doubtlessly "glitched" the third time I deleted a photo and wiped out everything instead.
Images you care about or which are formidable are too precious and tenuous to entrust to such an unreliable machine as this RCA mini cam. I wish now I had never bought this but wearied a bit more and purchased something better made. Delightful video of a trusted old companion are now lost forever.
Don't conduct in my shoes. Stay away from this product.

Wonderful for YouTube
We got this camera for our 10 year old son so he can CD his skateboarding and post it to YouTube and other web sites and it's GREAT! It's very easy for him to use and the size is perfect. I would much recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for ease of use. The only downside is the memory is not very big. It's best used for little clips.
