you get what you pay forI got this sparse camera with rewards points. After reading the reviews I really wasn't expecting much. For the price it is a comely good camera. Doesn't work on any computer except my laptop. Requires massive amounts of recall and a good video card. Doesn't work at all on my new iMac running Snow Leopard. I am disenchanted about that.

Famed little video cam for the price
I have been a fan of the Feel discomfited Wonder camcorder line. I have bought a few for friends after I had one a while. I really liked the earlier video camera. This is an increase. It has an SD card slot for adding memory. Plus it is thinner and more stylish as well as has a much larger viewing shroud and clearer picture. Also has basic photo capture. It slides into a man's front pocket. But here's the downside: The software is not as affable use as the earlier model, which was flawless in it's simplicity. The newer camera has software that needs updating and I found uncertain and the ad for something called Mozy is annoying. The wide angle panorama view the lens has is lamentable. Most video is taken inside and of people up close. I used this video camera to blur inside houses while shopping for one to buy. But the camera could not really film the enclosed space like the more rapidly model did because of the wide angle view. Despite that, I really like the camera. At this figure, it is a great deal! When I take it out of my pocket and start filming, people are amazed that it is a video camera. Wonderful little camcorder for the price. Kids love it too.

Very low-calibre camcorder
I in the end wanted to like this camcorder, however, the video quality was so poor that it was basically unusable. If you note in anything but the brightest sunlight the results will be terrible. The design of the camera is nice. Its light majority, stylish and comfortable. Used it for a few days before finally giving up. If you have memories worth recording then they warrant better than this camcorder. Oh, the memory card retaining latch broke the forth even so I ejected the card so now its actually completely useless as I can't get a card to latch in anymore. Somehow a appropriate end to a disappointing product. Shame on you RCA!

My Kodak C340 take more videosI received this foolish wonder digital camcorder as a gift and that is what it is a small disappointment. My Kodak C340 still camera take more videos. As for still pictures my 1G iphone take a much better picture. I see a lot of happy people who are 12yrs old and under, that are pleased with this toy. I also mark that the online communication with Vox is terrible, definitely a turn off.

This inconsequential camcorder is good for convenience sake. It does the job, records the video and records the audio well enough - but you get what you pay for and if you wish something for "important" things then spend the money and get a higher quality camcorder.
Cool Buy
I'm a ten year old boy and I got this for Christmas. It can let-up during videos which is nice. It can flip open so you can see yourself if recording yourself and it is easy to use. It just runs out of batteries moderately quickly. It can even connect to most computers so you can save longer videos on the computer and E-mail them to friends. I would interesting buying this camera.
What Fun Is This Lift Camcorder
I received this rip off camcorder for Christmas 2009. I was able to take videos within 5 min of opening my present. The video's that I took are irreplaceable. The resolution was great and the indoor shots were amazing since some were taken with low light. Trying to catch up the camera to Play Station 3 was disappointing since there was no sound, but great video. By the way, the camera's USB arm is relatively flimsy. However with care it serves it purpose.
I am able to stick this camcorder in my pocket. I did get a carrying case that was just great.
Rubbish
Got this for Christmas last year so I could take pictures on my superior trip! Didn't take many pictures on the trip though because almost Every picture turned out blurry and the video is upright as bad! Oh and one of the screws fell out the first day I had it! It is a pain to hook up to the computer only redeeming thing is that you don't need 50 cords for that! You can't on anything to remove all the pictures and videos from the camera and if you have a lot there is no way to delete all from your camera unless you keep hitting wipe out and get lucky enough to get the delete all media, otherwise all needs to be deleted manually which is always a treat! It is cool if you wanna take a personification of yourself though because you can turn the screen so you can see yourself but otherwise its a hunk of junk!

very tolerable choicethis voice is very good for users wanting a simple, compact, sturdy camera for "simple, inexpensive" results when more expensive, heavy, complicated equipment, etc., might be inconvenient. i've purchased three of these so far...and the price has increased with each duplicate--can't say why, etc. the ability to use two AA-cells for powering this camera is particularly practical, and worth special note.
superior kids gift
had a $25 coupon from amazon and it was on in stock so thing camera cost me about $15.00. It was a gift for my 8 year old and he still has it and he is going on 10. He loves it and makes cheap lego shorts for himself. Fun and a great learning gift that helps kids stay imaginative.

I reason I should write about my experience tonight with my RCA mini cam which I bought last spring. At the time I found it delightful and fun to use. I never imagined that with one encourage of a button, I could do something so awful as to make me cry. If you buy this recorder and you put anything important to you on it, transfer the video immediately to your computer or a disc or another more fast recorder. I had on my little RCA 3 short videos of a beloved dog that died suddenly in April. They were appealing memories of her. Tonight while trying to erase three still photos that were not important I pushed the delete knob but instead of deleting just the photos I deleted everything on the mini cam. I lost the only video images of a dog I owned for as good as 15 years. It was like losing her all over again. I must say the instructions on the cam were very clear as to how to delete separate still shots. And I successfully deleted the first two photos. When subsequent the prompt to delete the last photo, the prompt came back saying "all images deleted" and my heartlessness sunk. For some reason, doing the exact same thing, pushing the exact same button this third nonetheless erased not just the image I wanted but every thing else on the cam.
You may have a video of your loved one in better period who is now unwell or even deceased. Or your baby taking their first steps. Or some image that could shake the world. BUT DON'T USE THIS CAMERA TO TAKE YOUR SHOTS. AND IF YOU MUST, GET THEM OFF THIS CAMERA AND ONTO A MORE Sure ELECTRONIC. I don't know why when I went to erase the third photo my repeated gesture instead erased everything. The ready did not warn I was about to erase everything. The prompt only instructed me to push the button to erase the still image I wanted to wipe out. I followed that direction and lost precious images I cannot retrieve and will never be able to replace or replicate.
Buy a camera more made than this one. Buy a camera that does the exact same thing every time you push any one button in particular. Do not buy this camera that certainly "glitched" the third time I deleted a photo and wiped out everything instead.
Images you care about or which are high-level are too precious and tenuous to entrust to such an unreliable machine as this RCA mini cam. I wish now I had never bought this but emptied a bit more and purchased something better made. Delightful video of a trusted old companion are now lost forever.
Don't make one's way by foot in my shoes. Stay away from this product.
Big for YouTube
We got this camera for our 10 year old son so he can archives his skateboarding and post it to YouTube and other web sites and it's GREAT! It's very easy for him to use and the size is perfect. I would authoritatively recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for ease of use. The only downside is the memory is not very big. It's best used for straitened clips.

Important for kids, but for a similar price you can get much better quality pictures & videos with a low-end digital cameraThis is a renowned camera for kids because it is so easy to hold and use. I love how everything is included (2GB memory card, lens cap, carrying case). However, the picture and video quality is worse than a cell phone (grainy, washed out). A substitute alternatively, for a similar price (less than 100 dollars) you can get a Canon PowerShot A480 or Nikon Coolpix L20 that takes but pictures *and* video. It's not always stated upfront that these cameras have video capability (on the Canon, video is in reality 1 of the 15 different shooting modes), but you can check out the manufacturer's website for a complete type.
I wish I knew about these low-end compact cameras supporting video! I bought this RCA Small Wonder for my 11-year-old daughter and she of course loves it (as do her friends), but for my 7-year-old son I bought the Canon PowerShot A480. It's much smaller and the exact replica/video quality is excellent.

The liberation was very good. When I used it I found that it was very easy to use and also like the way of downloading of pictures. Also like the length of occasion i.e. 4 hrs. and that I can increase this time also. I had an RCA little world but find this better.

So, I was intrigued by the RCA "Traveler" Small Wonder's theoretically's point-and-shoot-and-upload capabilities.
Well, upon receiving this machine, I was quickly disappointed! It performed brilliant for a total of 6.5 minutes, whereupon the screen then went black for the next four days. During this time, no recording whatsoever was on. On the 5th day, when I turned it on, in the morning, the entire screen then turned to exhibit blue and white sparkly vertical words, with absolutely no indication that the lens, in fact, is able to focus on anything! The "camcorder" has since remained in this craze for the last couple of weeks.
I changed the batteries and even downloaded and installed a so-called "firmware upgrade" from the assembly's site, all to no avail!
And then, upon telephoning the customer service rep; (1) I was disconnected multiple times.... (2) the same cull customer rep on duty (...no wonder one has to wait a long time to speak to someone: there's only ONE work rep answering the phone! ...and she knows NOTHING about the product whatsoever!) told me that there was nothing that she could do, as she had never heard of these "symptoms" occurring to the Insignificant Wonder before! Terrific hardly camera.
Amity the camera -- compact, easy to use, takes great shots. HOWEVER, beware Amazon's tender to buy an SD mini-card with this camera. It doesn't use a mini-card; it uses a regular SD plan. I didn't read the fine print and got stuck with a useless $20 mini-greetings card. Now what? Sell it on eBay?
Still, the camera is great. We're having good fun with it. Sturdy little in the world, too -- it's already been dropped a couple of times to no ill effect.
Not at all what expected!!
I received this and instantaneously started to click and take video of everything in sight! It was so easy to use, but then when I tried to upload the photos my PC was giving me an trespass message. After talking to RCA, trying to upload new software-twice, sent the machine back because RCA claimed that it was education ESN 'educationally subnormal', received yet another 'Traveler' (after 6 weeks of waiting) and guess what?!
